This is the day our paths crossed in the most unexpected way, a day that changed everything.

Neither of us had ever been to an ETBU basketball game before, but somehow, we both found ourselves there that evening. Carly was sitting with her teammates when Connor walked in and took a seat right in front of her. At that moment, Carly’s teammate—and Connor’s teammate—stood up, offering me a chance to sit beside him.
