How do I RSVP?
Online RSVPs are easy, just click the RSVP tab at the top of this page or scan the QR code on the RSVP card included in your invitation packet.
What date should I RSVP by?
RSVP responses were due by Friday, August 16, 2024.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
Unfortunately due to budget and space limitations, we simply can't afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
We love your children, but due to space restrictions, we cannot accommodate guests under age 21 at our wedding. We appreciate your understanding.
What is the dress code?
There is no specific color scheme for the guests. The dress code is formal attire/black tie. We suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt with tie and women wear a cocktail dress, full length dress or nice pant suit. Dress to impress!
Where should we stay?
There is a room block reserved at The Richmond Marriott Short Pump (where all wedding events will take place). Please ask for the Proctor/Brown wedding when reserving.
Hotel reservations can be made by calling the hotel at (804)965 - 9500. There is also the Hilton Garden Inn Richmond/Innsbrook and Drury Plaza Richmond within one mile of the venue hotel.
What is the easiest way to get to and from the wedding venue?
For those traveling by airplane, the Richmond Marriott Short Pump is approximately a 30 minute drive from Richmond International Airport (RIC). Rental vehicles as well as Ride Share services (Uber, Lyft, etc.) are available at RIC.
Is parking available at the venue?
Parking at the venue hotel is free and plentiful for those driving into town.
Will the wedding be indoors and outdoors?
All wedding events (ceremony, cocktail hour and reception) will be indoors.
What type of food will be served at your wedding?
We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a buffet style sit down dinner. If you have any dietary restrictions (allergies, vegan, vegetarian, etc), please let us know and our food vendor will accommodate.
Will alcohol be served?
Yes, there will be an open bar. Please bring cash to tip our wonderful bartenders!

Our wedding registry is linked to this website via a tab at the top of the webpage (desktop version) or in the drop down menu (three bars at the top left) for mobile users.
Where should we bring/send our wedding gifts?
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, for those who wish to give a gift, our registry allows for gifts to be sent directly to us, or they can be brought to the wedding at your discretion.
While we appreciate all gifts, we ask that any gift cards be purchased via electronic delivery methods due to current scams compromising in-store bought gift cards.
What is the wedding day itenerary?
The Wedding Ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m. followed by a cocktail hour and reception. All events will take place within the Richmond Marriott Short Pump.
What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?
We ask that everyone arrive at the wedding ceremony space at least 30 minutes early to allow time to be seated prior to the start of the ceremony.
Am I allowed to take photos at the wedding?
While we know that everyone is very excited for us, we invite you to be truly present with us during our nuptials with an unplugged ceremony.
We will have a photographer present, we kindly ask that phones and cameras remain out of sight until the ceremony conclusion. We will happily share our professional images with you after the wedding.
For the cocktail hour and reception, we encourage you to take as many photos as you like. There will be a QR code to upload the photos taken so that everyone can enjoy them.
Will there be other events to attend on the wedding weekend?
The bride and groom will be available for visitors the Friday night before the wedding in the bar area in the lobby of the Richmond Marriott Short Pump. The hotel has a bar that will be available for guests to purchase drinks.
