Patrick and Carmen met in the summer of 2020 over ice cream at Mason's Creamery. Carmen was preparing to start her social work graduate training. Patrick was ready to meet the love of his life. Hinge brought these two love birds together, and they never looked back. Patrick, the lucky dawg, only had to go on one online date before meeting the one. Carmen, on the other hand, had been around the block with online dating.   On the first few dates, Pat and Carmen talked a lot about their favorite music and their favorite stories. The songs they were listening to on repeat when they met? Cover Me Up by Jason Isbell and I Will Love You Still by Titus Haug. With these two songs, love was clearly in the air even before the two crossed paths.   COVID made the dating game a little different. The pair spent their time social distancing with each other. They hiked the Cleveland MetroParks, shared their love of cinema, and had countless dance parties in their apartments. Pat’s pandemic puppy Hank welcomed Carmen with open paws. The three quickly became a little family. Spending time in each other's COVID bubble helped cement their love of slow, mindful days and outdoor adventures.   Three years after they met, Pat popped the question where he asked Carmen to be his wife. The two can't wait to tie the knot.

A shuttle bus will be available from 3 - 4pm to take guests from the hotel room blocks to the venue. Estimated pickup times for each hotel are below. We please ask that if you are able to take an earlier bus you do so, to ensure enough space for those that are arriving later in the day Saturday: Aloft: 3:00pm & 3:45pm Residence Inn: 3:15pm & 4:00pm The bus will also be taking guests from the venue back to the hotels at the end of the night, beginning at 10:00pm.

Charter Bus

The Aloft hotel block below is booked as well as the rest of the Aloft hotel. The Residence Inn downtown is right across from E 4th St. which has a lot of fun bars and restaurants. If you live on the wild side (like the happy couple) and typically don’t book your hotel for weddings until two-four weeks before, any other downtown or westside hotel/airbnb should serve your needs as well!
