Why are we making everyone dig out their passports and sunscreen?

We’ve heard so many couples say their wedding day flew by in a blur — one big night that’s over before they even realized it. We didn’t want that! Instead, we dreamed of a full weekend where we could slow down, soak it all in, and really spend time with the people who mean the most to us. Bermuda felt like the perfect fit: beautiful beaches, plenty of sunshine, and an easy getaway (especially for most of our guests on the East Coast — a much shorter trip than Colorado). We wanted this to be more than just a wedding day… but a little vacation for everyone to celebrate love, laugh a lot, and relax together.

Do I need a passport? 🛂

YES, Bermuda is not in the country, you will need a passport to go!

What’s the weather like in March? ☀️🌴

Warm, breezy, and totally lovely! Expect highs in the 70s during the day and cooler evenings in the 60s. Pack light layers for evenings by the water, but also bring your swimsuit — yes, you’ll want it.

What’s the dress code? 👗👔

We’re keeping things stylish but comfortable! Wedding Ceremony & Reception (Saturday): Beach formal — the ceremony will be on a lawn, so no worries about sand. Flowing dresses, lightweight suits, and polished attire are perfect. Welcome Dinner (Friday): Breezy resort wear — sundresses, polos, linen, fun prints — think vacation chic. Brunch (Sunday): Totally casual! Come as you are — whatever makes you comfortable and happy.

Can I make a vacation out of it? 🏖️

Absolutely! That’s the whole point. Stay a few extra days, explore Bermuda’s pink sand beaches, snorkel, golf, or just sip rum swizzles by the pool. We’d love for you to treat this as a getaway, not just a wedding. We'll be there from Wednesday 3/18 to Wednesday, 3/25!

Do I need Bermudian dollars? 💵

Sort of… but don’t panic! Bermuda uses the Bermudian dollar (BMD), which is pegged 1:1 to the U.S. dollar. That means U.S. dollars are widely accepted everywhere, so no crazy conversions needed. Just bring some cash for tips and small purchases, and your credit/debit cards will work for most other expenses. Easy peasy!

Should I rent a car? 🚗

Not necessary! Bermuda is a small island, and taxis, ferries, and scooters make it easy to get around. Since all of our wedding events will be right at the resort, you won’t need transportation unless you’d like to head out and explore. (Car-free = more cocktails, less stress 🍹✨). For details on getting from the airport to the resort, check out the Travel section!

Is Bermuda safe? 🛡️

Totally! Bermuda is known for being friendly, peaceful, and easy to navigate. Just like anywhere, keep an eye on your belongings and use common sense — but mostly, just relax and enjoy the island vibes.
