Why are there so many ceremonies?

We wanted to incorporate Vietnamese and Euro-American traditions and celebrate with as many people as possible. The easiest way to do this was to spread out celebrations geographically and chronologically

What's a "Dam Hoi"?

Also known as a Tea Ceremony or Le Dinh Hon, it is a traditional Vietnamese engagement ceremony that involves honoring the bride's family and groom's family. Homage is paid to the ancestors, and tea is poured and shared between the families to symbolize the union.

What is the dress code?

Semi-formal, black tie optional. It is okay if you would like to source more traditional Vietnamese clothing for the dam hoi. I really like this designer: https://aodaibycutesass.com/

What kind of food will be served?

Both Vietnamese and New American food will be served at the wedding. For dam hoi, expect traditional Vietnamese-Chinese cuisine. Vegetarian options will be available, if you are vegan or have allergies please tell us in your RSVP

What about your wedding party?

No wedding party here, just partying at the wedding! We have decided to not have traditional bridesmaids and groomsmen. We wanted to celebrate with as many people as possible without cost as a limiting factor. There is no responsibility for buying dresses, renting shoes, going to rehearsal, coordinating/planning things, etc.
