We met in June 2021 during our time at the Disney College Program. A few shared shifts quickly turned into a fast friendship, though it didn’t take long for Joey to realize he wanted more than just to be friends. Carolina, on the other hand, was a bit more guarded… but Joey was determined to be her very own Prince Charming and gently broke down her walls, one laugh at a time.

With the help of our trusted friends (and secret matchmakers) Jayden and Tanner, who patiently listened to all the “do you think he/she likes me?” debates, Carolina finally admitted she might have a little crush. Of course, Jayden wasted no time letting Joey know that it was his moment to make a move.

Joey asked her on a date, and they spent the evening at Main Event, a bowling alley and arcade in Orlando, where they played air hockey for hours, laughing, and giving each other a run for their money. That night sparked a connection that’s never faded.

Even after Carolina returned to Miami and Joey moved to St. Pete, love conquered the distance. After a few months apart, Joey moved to Miami, and shortly after settling in together, he proposed in true fairytale fashion: at Schnebly’s Winery in Homestead, Florida.

From Disney days to wedding days, we’ve been inseparable ever since and we can’t wait to begin this next chapter together.
