Caro and Joe met their junior year of high school at a St. Thomas vs. Strake football game. Joe was the transfer student at STH and Caro was at Incarnate Word Academy. Joe, being the talkative person he is, went up to Caro in the bleachers during the game and asked her what she was doing there. She replied, "I'm here watching my boyfriend play." That was the end of that. Over the next two years of high school, Joe and Caro would run into each other a few times here and there. They both went off to different colleges -- Caro to Texas Christian University in Fort Worth and Joe to St. Edward's in Austin. Through the next four years, they would both get life updates and see how the other was doing via Instagram posts. After graduating in 2019, Caro moves back to Houston and starts her career at ABC13. Joe FINALLY moves back to Houston in 2021, and that summer Joe slides into Caro's Instagram DMs and asks her out to lunch. The lunch date went well, and afterwards, Joe texts her to set up date #2. That's when Caro told Joe she wasn't interested. A whole year goes by, and in 2022, Caro saw Joe in the tunnels downtown while she was having lunch with her mom. She noticed him because of the bright red pants he was wearing. She texts him, asking if that was him, and it was. She asks how he's been to which he says, "Why don't I take you to dinner and tell you how I've been." The rest is history.

Andrea is Caro’s oldest cousin, whom she grew up with. They’re like sisters! Caro is also blessed to be Andrea's daughter's Godmother.

Creta is Caro’s older cousin by just a few weeks! They grew up like sisters. Growing up, they enjoyed having sleepovers and watching movies together.

Caro and Mary met in college at TCU, and were inseparable their senior year. Caro considers Mary her best friend, and although Mary lives in Dallas, they both make an effort to see each other at least once a year.

Krista and Caro used to be work colleagues at ABC13. Not only that but they were roommates too, before Krista left to pursue another job in D.C. Caro has always considered Krista an older sister. She is the life of the party and has always been there for Caro when it came to life and career advice.

Eugenia, or Eu as everyone likes to call her, is Joseph's cousin. As soon as Caro met Eu, she knew they would hit it off. Caro loves Eu's vibe, kind heart and the energy she brings to any occasion. Here’s to more Los Tíos happy hours together! 🥂

Sebas and Joseph met as kids, when Sebas and his family moved to the US from Venezuela in the early 2000s. They've been brothers since, growing up in Houston together. Their families are very close and although Sebas won't admit it, Joseph is the better FIFA player.

Jesus is Joseph's first cousin, son to Joseph's aunt (mother's side). Jesus and Joseph define the saying "from womb to tomb", being brothers since the very beginning. Like Joseph, Jesus is always down for a good sci-fi movie!

Cade and Joseph met their freshman year of college at Saint Edward's University in Austin, TX. Since then, they've been the best of friends, even though Cade is a Barcelona supporter.

Giorgio and Joseph met when they were little kids; their families moved into the same neighborhood! From growing up in Houston together to attending the same university, their friendship goes way back.

Nico and Joseph's friendship goes back many years, starting in Venezuela when their families lived in the same apartment complex. They also grew up in Houston together when their families moved and have been bros since. It's always a "goode" time with Nico!

There are many car rental companies at the Monterrey airport that you can rent from. This is one that we have used in the past and have had a good experience with and the prices were very reasonable.

Uber within the city of Monterrey and San Pedro are very reliable. From the airport to your destination you can also take a taxi. Before you exit the airport, look for a counter that says "Taxi Seguro," they have good fares and are available 24h.

If you're looking for Spanish tapas with a Mexican fusion, this is the place. You can find traditional paella with rib eye wagyu, pulpo a la gallega, and more. Great spot for drinks too.

Homemade and local ingredients. Whether you're in the mood for sweet or savory breakfast, this place has it all. Vegan options available.

REINA COMFORT FOOD

The perfect local taqueria. There is limited indoor seating but plenty of outdoor seating. When I took Joe for the first time, he said they were the best tacos he's ever had jajaja. It's also great to hit up as either a late-night dinner or after a night out.

We came here with my cousin for some small bites and drinks, and everything was delicious! We were seated promptly, but reservations can also be made over the phone.
