Carolina and Steven met at a Super Con convention on July 15, 2018. She was dressed up as a character from his favorite anime and talking to her friend, Romina. He was so taken with her that he came up and asked to take a picture together. Later on she found the picture online and reached out asking him to tag her. They began talking to each other and within a week were officially dating.

As they got to know each other, they realized how much they had in common: a love for family, animals, anime, comic books, video games, and roller coasters. They were also pursuing Master's Degrees at FAU and working to find their dream careers. As time passed, both began experiencing new things, Steven showed Carolina the world of hockey and she taught him the joys of travel.

The two soon adopted fur babies (or fur monsters, depending on the day). Nala followed Carolina's parents home one day and Steven soon realized the cute, and very young, cat was pregnant! She unfortunately lost all three of her kittens, but they found her an adopted kitten, Loki! Both cats are the true rulers of the household and the humans have WAY too many pictures of them in their phones. Here are just a few for your pleasure:

Steven and Carolina had always dreamed of finding a place to call their own, and when they finally walked into the perfect house, they knew it was meant to be. It had an open floor plan they both loved, with plenty of space for their two playful cats to explore. As they toured the house, they imagined their future—room for their work and hobbies, an open kitchen for family dinners, and a backyard where their future kids could run around one day. It wasn’t just a house; it was the foundation of their life together, a home to be filled with love, laughter, and the promise of new beginnings.
