The Cocora Valley Natural Reserve is a natural landscape located in the central mountain range of the Colombian Andes, where the Mother Nature allows tourist to contemplete and feel the fresh climate that caresses their skin, the air and the exotic flora invite them to walk.


Cocora Valley Natural Reserve is the birthplace of the emblematic tree of Colombia: La Palma de Cera and is considered a buffer zone of the Los Nevados National Nature Park.

Salento is the oldest town in this region. With an average climate of 18ºC, Salento stands out for the color of its architecture based on houses made of bahareque; a mixture of reeds, wood and earth, which remind us of the way our ancestors built. Its colonial houses draw attention for the joy of their color combinations and their balconies full of pots overflowing with flowers and ferns.
