Welcome to Stowe VT, there are plenty of things to do, especially during the fall season. Stowe is Vermont’s most quintessential ski town and has plenty to offer from breathtaking views, to culinary experiences and outdoor recreation! Below you will find a list of activities to do throughout the town, that includes leaf peeping, culinary, town history and outdoorsy fun.
Factories/Vermont culture
· Ben and Jerry’s ice cream factory

o Take a 20 min tour through the factory and learn how it all started and sample the famous Ice cream! They are open 10am-6pm Monday-Sunday
· Cabot Cheese factory/store
o 2657 Waterbury-Stowe Rd, Waterbury Center, VT 0567
o Taste the amazing cheeses Vermont has to offer! They have samples of all the cheeses and videos about the history of the factory. They are open 11am-5pm Tuesdays – Saturdays
· Lake Champlain Chocolate factory
o 2657 Waterbury-Stowe Rd, Waterbury Center, VT 0567
o from truffles and Five Star Bars to hand-whipped copper kettle fudge, milkshakes, and ice cream, even factory seconds! Plus plenty of free samples! The chocolate store has it all and is a perfect place to pick up some gifts on your foliage tour. Stop in with the whole family!
· Smugglers Notch Distillery Tasting Room

o Discover the amazing tasting room, where you can enjoy samples of their unique single-barrel spirits and maple syrup! This is also where Caroline’s Mom Huntly works! Stop in and say hello on your way into town!
· Cold Hollow Cider Mill
o 3600 Waterbury-Stowe Rd, Waterbury Center, VT 05677
o Charming Spot with a Bakery known for their famous cider doughnuts, plus market for syrups and other Vermont goods! It is also the best place to visit in the fall and to take pictures!
· Trapp Family Lodge (The Sound of Music Movie)
o 700 Trapp Hill Road, Stowe VT 05672
o Find your home away from home in the beautiful mountains of Vermont at Trapp Family Lodge. Their Stowe resort blends Austrian-inspired architecture with comfortable American and European furnishings on a beautiful, 2,600-acre property offering four seasons of fun outdoor activities. They have 360 views of the mountains with amazing walking trails and activities! There biggest claim to fame is the true story and relation to the movie The Sound of Music.
o CJ and I’s favorite thing to do is visit the cute highland cows in the fields. We also like music in the meadow on Sunday nights! Their motto is "A Little of Austria...A Lot of Vermont
· Stowe Mountain Resort
o A ski resort that is the fourth largest in Vermont and CJ and I’s favorite place to ski! The lift-served vertical drop of Mount Mansfield is 2,360 feet, which is the fifth largest in New England.
o One of the main attractions to do in Vermont during the fall, is to take a ride on the Skyride Mansfield gondola to get the best views of the fall leaves!
o Stowe is also where Caroline’s Dad works as well as CJ. (as you can see they have a lot in common)

o Right down the road from the wedding venue. Enjoy the taste of Vermont with various IPAs and Ales.
