Our Wedding

<p>Nick and I met at Mizzou. We were starting our sophomore year in 2018. Nick was a FIJI and I was a Chi Omega. I was set up on a blind date with Joe Spear (who we later found out was Nick's roommate for the next year). The date party was a lot of fun and we went to Silverball dressed in preppy golf outfits. I happened to see Nick during afterbars at the Fiji house and he was wearing a hot pink golf polo and jungle- themed polo shirts (typical Emms fashion-- he still has the outfit to this day). Nick happened to walk into the room that I was in, and once I saw him, I had to know more. I looked at my best friend Scuda and said "WHO IS THAT." She let me know his name was Nick Emms. All I could do was laugh at how small the world was because I knew some of his closest family members from Holy Infant. Although, I should have known he was an Emms based on his adorable fashion sense. We began talking for a little and one night, Nick and Alex Kempen met up with me and Demi Ferretti (Kempen) at Harpos. Once Nick arrived, I told Demi I wasn't interested and that I wanted to leave the bar. I apologized to Nick and thought that would be the end, but he still continued to talk to me (persistence is key!!!). One weekend, Nick stopped responding to me and it drove me crazy because I was starting to like him. I was annoyed and all my sister kept saying was you never know something might have happened. WELL, she was right, and something did happen. Nick was in an ATV accident causing his phone to break and his head to be cracked open (which was why there was no response from him). Not hearing from Nick made me realize that I liked him more than I thought I did. From then on, we would continue to hang out and the rest is history! I can't imagine my life without him. He makes me smile every day I am beyond lucky to have him!</p>
