Caroline and Denny’s story began in a rather unexpected way. The first time they crossed paths was at a Publix in Murfreesboro. Caroline was filling in as the store pharmacist, and Denny stopped by to check-in since the pharmacy was short staffed and Caroline was new to the job. Little did they know then, that chance meeting would be the first chapter of something much bigger.

After reconnecting months later, the two had their first date at Dave & Busters on June 1, 2022. Caroline, a bit on the quiet side, left Denny unsure if she was having a good time—spoiler: she was! Their connection was clear, and before long, they were navigating a long-distance relationship when Denny moved from Murfreesboro to Chattanooga for a new job. Weekends became precious, filled with visits between Chattanooga and Nashville, and it wasn’t always easy. But in November 2023, Denny made the decision to move back to Nashville, securing a new job and showing Caroline just how serious he was about their future together.

One thing Caroline and Denny both love is traveling, and their adventures together are packed with unforgettable memories. Their first trip was to New England, visiting Boston and Portland. Since then, they’ve journeyed to places like Utah, Yellowstone, Niagara Falls, Iceland, Banff, and went on an Alaskan cruise with Denny’s parents. These trips have not only deepened their connection but created stories they’ll be telling for years to come.

In August 2024, Caroline and Denny found themselves back in Portland, Maine, and Denny had a plan. Surrounded by their families and the familiar beauty of the Portland Headlight, he was going to ask her to marry him. Things didn’t go quite as expected—the original spot he planned for was roped off, and Denny had to improvise. At one point, the ring box even tumbled out of his pocket as he climbed onto a ledge to check out the view. But those little hiccups made the moment even more memorable, and when he finally got down on one knee, Caroline said yes!

Now, with many more trips planned (including Caroline’s first visit to Indonesia), and their hearts set on the future, Caroline and Denny can’t wait for this next adventure—marriage.
