Hello world it’s me, Caroline. Andrew suggested I write our story because I need to pull my weight with wedding planning. Let me catch you up to speed. Our story actually begins during our time at Auburn at a sacred place to us… Moes BBQ. While I always had a huge crush on Andrew, I never worked up the courage to say it to him due to his popularity and good looks.
Okay... let's start over, this might come as a shock but this is actually Andrew writing this. Caroline’s only advice to me was to not make this a novel, “a couple of short sentences." So naturally that means even if I wasn't planning on making this long to begin with... now I have to make it extra long.
Caroline and I knew of each other during our time at Auburn and had plenty of mutual friends, but we never got the opportunity to really get to know each other. However, during our senior year, after we had both decided to attend law school at Cumberland, our paths began to cross occasionally as we knew we’d be spending the next 3 years (or so we thought) in close proximity.

Caroline and I started 1L year together at Cumberland- look at our Auburn people- so happy. Not looking exhausted? It’s a miracle.
Through the first couple months of school Caroline and I became best friends (as evidenced by the safe distance we are keeping in this picture). Our friendship grew up until the point where I asked her on our first date.

After our first date to OSAKA- (Oak Mountain Ifkyk) Caroline and I continued to get to know each other. This is one of our favorite dates ever. We woke up on a Friday morning skipped class (sorry Mom) and drove straight to lunch and the McWane Center. We made it official shortly after.

Georgia Aquarium- Auburn Basketball- Lightshow at the ZOO? All within 3 days. Yes, we do tend to enjoy things that are designed for 10-year-olds. So what?
Bags under our eyes and all - 1L Fall Finals were over and we got to celebrate Caroline’s Birthday. Nothing else in the world mattered.
Throughout our 1L year, we continued dating. During one of the most challenging parts of both of our lives thus far, I can confidently say I would not have made it without her.

Now call me crazy. But Caroline and I had only been dating a month when I asked her to come to our family beach trip. She just fit in so seamlessly with my family and everyone loved to be around her. This trip was nothing short of a dream and came after I attended Chapman Christmas (which was super relaxing and not overwhelming at all for me).

New Years Eve 2022. Favorite night of my life? It’s up there. Because I had known so many of Caroline’s friends from Auburn we decided to spend New Year’s in Auburn with some of my best friends. If you don’t know the story please ask about it.

I was told by so many that Spring Break is a time to catch up on your work and start the grind to finals… so in following their advice Caroline and I ended up at Disney World. No words to describe this one. Greatest Trip ever. EVER.

Now this picture will forever be infamous. I had gotten a call from Alabama that I had been accepted (which I may or may not have waited to tell Caroline) and this is me giving her the news. This was a very hard decision for us but through tons of prayer, I moved to Tuscaloosa.
However, through this decision making process I had received all the clarity I needed from the Lord to tell Caroline I wanted to marry her.

The school year was over! Summer jobs were in full swing. Visiting the future Senator herself. What an honor.
Little did Caroline know while she finished out her time in DC- I was spending all of my time in Montgomery shopping for a ring.
