Our story is one of God’s undeserved grace! He writes all of our stories, but sometimes he makes it clear that he’s the one pulling the strings: in what many would call coincidence, we glorify God and call providence! In August of 2022, we met on the Monon Trail while sharing our faith with others (we took the photo above a year later in the same place we met). The following week, we met again — this time while Caroline waited for a call from a friend, and Alex took a walk out of restlessness. (And, let’s be honest — at this point he was hoping to see Caroline again!) God so arranged that we would pass each other and give us the opportunity to pick up conversation once more. After walking and talking for a half hour (Caroline still mis-remembering Alex’s name as ‘Mark’) they exchanged numbers (and Alex straightened out the fact that his name was, in fact, Alex). After having ice cream at BRICS the following week, again along the Monon, Caroline finally realized Alex was interested in her…and the rest is history!
