When should I arrive?
Everyone is invited to our Welcome Party on the evening of Saturday, June 28th. Most of our room blocks, and several home rentals, require a two night stay, so coming in on Saturday and leaving on Monday is a good rule of thumb.
However, we welcome anyone who wants to come in on Friday! We would love to spend the weekend with you.
When should I book my hotel?
We recommend as soon as possible! June is peak season in Highlands, so there's a chance hotels can book up or the most convenient rental properties will be unavailable. Airbnb's and VRBOs can get expensive in the area, but it's a great idea to pair up with a friend or two and split a house! If you want ideas on who else is attending, feel free to reach out to us.
Where should I stay?
We have a few room blocks available to you in Downtown Highlands, as well as several other recommendations listed on the "Travel" tab. If you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out to Caroline, Julie, or Peter.
If you made a reservation at Old Edwards Inn or 200 Main, please notify the family so we can ensure you are in our room block.
How should I pack?
For the wedding, the attire is semi-formal. Men are welcome to wear suits and the ladies can choose either a long or short dress. Ultimately, we want you to be comfortable! Keep in mind, temperatures may drop in the evening, so a wrap is recommended. The higher temps will be in the low 80's and the lower temps will be in the low 60's. If you plan to do some hiking or other outdoor activities during the weekend, layers are a great idea. For the Welcome Party, please feel free to dress casual!
Should I bring a gift?
While we do not expect anything, we'd be honored if you choose to gift us with something to help us start our lives together! Our registry is connected to our shipping address, so if you don't want to travel with a gift, you are welcome to send it ahead of time. If you do want to bring something with you, we will have designated space for it at the reception.
More Q's?
Please feel free to reach out to Caroline, Peter, or the mother of the bride, Julie, with any questions. We are happy to help you! Once we get within a week or two of the wedding, most questions directed to Caroline and Peter will be fielded by our wedding coordinator or wedding party.
