A direct AV line train leaves from the Rome airport twice per day, at 11:08 a.m. and 3:08 p.m. They do stop along the way in the city of Rome, but you don’t need to change trains. This trip takes 2 hours and 24 minutes, and ticket prices range from $28-34.
In Italy, you cannot flag taxis as you can in other major cities. Taxis are instead "stationed" at special taxi parking stands in most of the major squares in any city and at the airport and they can be requested by phone.
There are taxi stands at the Florence airport and in front of the main train station, Santa Maria Novella Station.
This is an easy way to get around the city. You must buy your ticket before boarding the tram and ALWAYS validate your ticket upon entering the train. Tickets are €1,50 and valid for 90 minutes. Tram officials do police the cars looking at tickets and you will be fined, even if you have a ticket that is not yet validated.
A private transfer will be provided for guests from central Florence to Villa le Fontanelle and back on the day of the wedding.

Florence's main train station. National and International trains are available. We recommend taking the train to nearby towns for a day trip while you're in Florence! Siena is our favorite destination from Florence, but there are plenty of convenient options available!
