Where are the wedding events in the hotel?
The Westin Poinsett was built in 1925 by architect William Lee Stoddart. While the hotel still holds the structural beauty from 1925, it can be confusing to navigate. There are several “half” floors within the hotel, so we have constructed a graphic to show which level or half level rooms of importance are located on. The bottom of the graphic starts with the Main St. level where you will find yourself when walking through the front doors.
What is the dress code for your wedding?
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. Our research indicates that this is sometimes referred to as dressy casual or cocktail attire, such as a suit and tie or a sports coat, dress or a pants suit. No tuxedo or evening gown required!
What is the weather like in the area?
There is a 99% chance that it will be very hot in Greenville in July. All of our wedding events will take place indoors with air conditioning. If you are not planning to stay at the Westin Poinsett Hotel, please keep in mind that you may be walking several blocks outdoors.
May I bring a date or my children to the wedding?
We are both thankful to be blessed with large, loving families. Unfortunately, our budget and venue are not able to accommodate any additional guests other than those named on the wedding invitations. We are happy that we have been able to include all parents, siblings, and first cousins on both sides of our soon-to-be joined families!

Linda Bell is a retired teacher who worked with Caroline’s mom Michelle at Pendleton High School. She is extremely reliable and capable. Our flower girls Laney and Emma highly recommend Linda and her granddaughters!

Janice Smith (864) 421-9700 can put you in touch with a lady who babysits 1-2 children at a time at the hotel; however, we have no experience with the hotel’s sitter.
