Where is your wedding?

What time should we arrive at the wedding?
Our ceremony will start at 4pm, so please arrive at the venue no later than 3:45pm.
What date should I RSVP by?
The RSVP deadline was September 1st, 2025.
What is the dress code for your wedding?
Black-tie optional. According to Brides magazine, this means that: "A tuxedo isn't required, but can still be worn if preferred. If opting for a suit, however, a formal dark suit, white shirt, and a conservative tie are acceptable. For women, the outfit choices are a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit." Please know that portions of our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors on flagstone and pea gravel, if helpful for determining footwear.
Is there a hotel room block?
There is not a hotel room block, but there are ample options for accommodations near the venue. We have provided names of a few of our favorites on the travel page of our website.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
Plus ones are invited if designated by an "and guest" on your wedding invitation. We hope you understand and look forward to celebrating with you soon!
Am I allowed to bring my children?
Due to space limitations at our wedding venue, we kindly request that this be an adult-only event.
Will there be transportation to or from your wedding?
There will not be transportation to the venue, but we are chartering transportation (aka a 'party bus') to bring guests back to a central location in downtown Durham after the reception for the after party. Please denote your interest in riding with the bride and groom on the party bus as a part of your RSVP so we can ensure that you have a seat on the bus! If you intend to take the party bus back to downtown Durham, we recommend taking an Uber or Lyft to the event or plan to remove your car from the venue’s parking lot by 9am the next day. Please note that Ubers/Lyfts may be difficult to find at the venue as a means of departure as the venue is in a rural location - in this instance, you could schedule a ride share to come get you at the time you wish to leave or find an alternative means of personal transportation if you are not interested in continuing festivities downtown. Please ensure that you have a safe way to get back to your accommodations if you wish to partake at the bar.
Will there be an after-party?
Yes! Join us downtown at The Old North Bar (316 West Geer Street, Ste C, Durham, NC 27701) after the reception for the festivities to continue! All are welcome - if you have a significant other that was not present for the wedding, they are more than welcome to join for the after party. The after party will be a cash bar with drinks available for purchase. A food stand will likely be outside of the bar with food and snack options for purchase as well.
Is the ceremony at the same location as the reception?
Yes, all wedding events (other than the after party) are held at the same location, Carolina Grove.
Is there parking available at your venue?
Yes, there is ample parking available at the venue. If you decide to leave your car in the parking lot overnight, please move it by 9am the following morning for the next day's events.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors; however, the reception will be held indoors. In the event of rain, all wedding events will be held indoors.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes - Please ensure you have arrangements to get to and from our wedding safely!
