Caroline was at Taste of Country at Hunter Mountain with her friends when they stumble upon Matt and his friends. Matt caught Caroline’s attention by drinking whiskey out of a sunscreen bottle, in jean shorts and a cut off button up jean shirt. They went on a chairlift ride and before Matt left he asked for her number. Caroline got a text shortly after asking if she wanted to get dinner sometime. She bounced the idea around with her friends and they convinced her to go. Matt offered to pick Caroline up, but she refused. (What would her parents think of this kid rolling into their driveway in a lifted diesel) So she drove to Hudson for him to drive her all the way back up to Valatie for Mexican Monday at VBG. There were several more Mexicans Monday after that. On July 9th he asked her out, she said yes.

They were up at camp in Long Lake and Matt really wanted to fish the Raquette River. So they went. Matt kept asking Caroline to come fish in the front of the boat but she kept refusing the offer. He final convinced her to go to the front of the boat and he ask her to marry him.
