We met in August of 2020 in Clemson where Caroline was attending school while studying Marketing. Jeremy had just recently gotten back from a year long deployment in the Middle East to Iraq, Syria, and Kuwait and was getting ready to start training at the Columbia Fire Academy to become a firefighter with Columbia Fire Department. We met while Jeremy was in town for a concert that ended up getting cancelled, and we couldnt be more glad that it did. The weekend was spent getting to know each other while at the pool, playing games, and hanging out with friends. This is when we started to realize we had been crossing paths for the majority of our lives, we just hadnt met yet. We discovered we were from the same area, had many mutual friends, some of which we hung out with the weekend we met, grew up going to the same baseball parks, and that Caroline even saw Jeremy play a few football games at Dutch Fork High when we were in high school, although we didnt attend the same school. Later, we also discovered that we had family members that knew each other and that our aunts were friends in high school. The weekend we met is a weekend we will never forget and will always cherish. We knew from then that we wanted to keep each other in our lives. We continued to hang out and started dating a few months later in November of 2020, taking turns traveling back and forth from Clemson and Columbia to visit each other until Jeremy moved to Clemson in 2022 to finish school where he left off before he was deployed.


Shortly after officially becoming a couple in 2020 in November, after a beautiful dinner date at Hendrix in downtown Columbia, Jeremy, knowing early on he wanted to marry Caroline one day, said to Caroline after dinner while in front of the neon Hendrix sign on the rooftop that Hendrix wouldnt be her last name for long. Fast-forward through many laughs, trips, inside jokes, spontaneous dates, and many memories to July 2nd, 2023 at the beaches of Botany Bay in Edisto, South Carolina where Jeremy proposed in a very private and intimate setting with the beauty of the ocean behind us. It was just the two of us and no one else in sight. It was a moment we had both been waiting for for a long time.


We know that God had us picked out for each other all along, but was just waiting on the right time to finally introduce us. We truly are best friends and do just about everything together. We are each others biggest supporters and are always pushing one another to chase our dreams and encourage one another to be the best version of ourselves that we can be. Keeping God at the center of our relationship, we hope that our love and marriage can be a reflection of Gods love and the joy that comes from the Lord.


We are so excited to be getting married so soon and starting a new chapter in our story as husband and wife. We are so blessed to have so many people in our lives who support us and our relationship and have just been a true blessing to the two of us. We are so thankful for you and we cannot wait to celebrate with you so soon! We cannot wait to see our love grow and see what God has in store for us. We met at 21 and 22 and here we are at 25 and 26 about to be married! We cannot wait for 27 and 28, 29 and 30, and all of the years that lie ahead. Lets get married!
