Caroline and Nick met in July of 2018 through a mutual friend, and now bridesmaid, Amanda Niemeier. Caroline and Amanda attended Sunday School together as children, later traveling on a mission trip to Houston, Texas. Nick and Amanda became friends after joining the same club at Sandburg High School. Amanda introduced Caroline and Nick to each other over social media. Shortly after Caroline returned from Houston, she and Nick met at Orland Square Mall for their first date. Since then, they have had many adventures together: high school dances, pumpkin patches, baseball games, and even Wisconsin Dells and Door County.

On July 2, 2023, 5 years after they first met, Nick got down on one knee and proposed to the girl of his dreams. Caroline said, “Yes!” to getting married to the love of her life. They are looking forward to celebrating their special day on June 22, 2025, and starting forever together.
