Our Wedding

Caroline &amp; Remi met in 2021 on the fourth floor of a tastefully refurbished mill building in Dover, NH (Thanks Hinge!). When they tried to arrange their first date, they realized they both lived on the same floor of the same apartment building! Now in fairness, it is a big apartment building. But still, this was a convenient set-up and allowed them to get to know each other pretty quickly. It was nice to spend time chatting in-person instead of texting all the time. Before long, they officially moved in together and the rest is history!

A 4th floor Cocheco Mill love story

Remi &amp; Caroline love to hike and run and explore. Together, they have hiked many mountains in New England, and the White Mountains of New Hampshire are very special to them. Through the years, they have also supported each other during life's ups and downs, which is not unlike how they hike together over uneven terrain. While they love to push themselves physically, they also know how important it is to take time to reflect and rest. After all, stress + rest = growth.

Literal and metaphorical mountains

Some of Caroline's PhD research includes field sites in Acadia National Park. One of these sites is on Isle au Haut, and together Remi &amp; Caroline set out for the island on the mailboat ferry in June 2024. After a day of fieldwork, Remi proposed to Caroline on the front porch of the Eli Creek Cabin with a moss agate ring. Caroline said, "yes of course!!" And of course Remi also got Caroline a silicone ring that she can wear in the field and at the gym (Caroline likes this if you can't tell).

Saturday, July 26, 2025 2:00 - 2:30pm - Prime arrival time at Dragonfly Meadow Farm. Please give yourself time to park and explore a bit before the ceremony! We will share a map of the venue with our guests and we will have folks assisting with parking. 3:00 - 3:30pm - Outdoor ceremony at Dragonfly Meadow Farm 3:30 - 4:30pm - Happy hour! <a href="https://youtu.be/B53Vlje7mcM?si=CaDrw7DLSb7Hs0bh" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Games</a>, snacks, drinks, photos, frolicking (and tent set-up time for those camping overnight) 4:30 - 5:00pm - Gathering under the tent for toasts and speeches 5:00 - 6:00pm - Dinner hour! Socializing, eating, photos 6:00 - 6:15pm - First dance, father-daughter &amp; mother-son dances 6:15pm - DANCING BEGINS! 7:30pm - Break from the boogie to enjoy the cookie table &amp; milk bar 9:30pm - <a href="https://youtu.be/sz6go7xC3Zs?si=7vXBHuk1NYBOSyoS" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Last dance</a> Later evening festivities &amp; games: light-trapping for insects, bonfire, smores, glow <a href="https://youtu.be/KTq42kg4qeg?si=zLIbRcOQUvEr4y4o" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">disc golf</a>, and yapping!

Our guests are welcome to camp on-site at our venue on Saturday night after our reception. There is plenty of room in the magical forest for tents!

We do not have a hotel room block, but we recommend looking at hotels in Saco, Biddeford, or Sanford, Maine. These small cities are all within a 30-minute drive of our venue, and you'll find familiar options like Holiday Inn &amp; Quality Inn. There are also lots of Airbnb &amp; Vrbo options, too.

Remi has. (And now Caroline is very aware of the sport). You too can try this fabulous past time at Remi's hometown course! The Black Bear is the easiest course, but if you are the second coming of Paul McBeth, love punishment, and are looking for a challenge, check out the Kodiak. Regardless of your score, or hand-eye coordination (or lack there of) we guarantee a gentle walk through a quaint wooded and pastoral landscape. <a href="https://www.theroughyorkmaine.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Lobster in the Rough - York, Maine</a>It wouldn't be a trip to Maine without lobster, right? Lobster in the Rough is our favorite spot to get seafood in a chill, no frills environment. You can expect a live band (maybe playing some Garth Brooks), picnic tables, and lawn games. We usually get a lobster dinner and a scallop dinner to share! From Limerick, Evans Notch is less than an hour away on ME Rt. 113, and is one of the most quiet, yet impressive mountainous areas we have discovered in the region. We are also not far from North Conway, NH, where you will find a more tourist-y vibe with lots of food and shopping options. We have a whole page on this site just for hike ideas that aren't far from Limerick! Take a trip to Portland!If you haven't been, Portland is worth a visit. Our favorite days in Portland usually start with Coffee by Design, maybe a Holy Donut, and a walk or a run along the Eastern Promenade or Back Cove Trail. There are a lot of great restaurants and it is a cute city to walk around, with cobblestone streets and plenty of coastal charm.
