Jordan and Caroline met in January of 2021 at Central Michigan University, but their story as a couple "officially" started on April 13, 2021. They have been inseparable ever since then, well besides the long distance, endless flights, and time changes!

After graduating college in May of 2022, they enjoyed their post-grad adventures driving back and forth every weekend between Saginaw and Waterford to see each other. On a trip to Petoskey that summer, Caroline told Jordan she always dreamed of a proposal in Northern Michigan on the water since she was a little girl. He took notes...

In October, Jordan began his proposal plan. He booked a stay at The Inn at Bay Harbor. Caroline always dreamed of a weekend getaway in this beautiful, waterfront hotel in Petoskey.

The day had come, November 18, 2022. They arrived at The Inn and got ready for dinner in Harbor Springs.

Trying to keep Caroline on her toes, Jordan said he wanted to check out the back of the Hotel for a pool. Picture this, a brisk 20-degree day with snow falling into Lake Michigan and some lake affect winds. The pool was closed, much to Jordan's surprise and little to Caroline's. Jordan began walking through the snow telling Caroline to follow him. In true Caroline fashion, she complained that her suede boots were not made for the snow. He responded, "They'll be fine," knowing that in just a few seconds she would forget all about her suede boots.

Jordan popped the question, with snow falling on Little Traverse Bay, and she said YES... and might've ugly cried too! Jordan surprised Caroline with a Downtown Petoskey Engagement photo session! They got snowed in with over a foot of snow that weekend but made the best of it with board games, Christmas movies, and the beautiful views.

In January of 2023, Jordan moved to Oklahoma for six months of Army training. Caroline got to visit him a few times and they fell in love with the Wichita Mountains and all things Oklahoma!

Summer of 2023 rolled around and Jordan moved to Savannah, GA to start his Army career. Caroline enjoyed visiting for beach days, key lime pie, Spanish Moss covered trees, and maybe a jellyfish sting too.

Caroline became a frequent flier this year to see Jordan, flying on over 15 flights in total to visit him.

In September of 2023, Jordan boarded a plane for a nine month rotation in Europe and Caroline got to wedding planning!
