Caroline and Jason met in the early years of college at George Mason University. The two were introduced by Caroline's college roommate, who was dating one of Jason's best friends. The pair instantly hit it off and spent every second of the next several weeks together.

Although they went their own ways after some time, it wasn't long before things were rekindled. The two graduated in separate years and went off to do different things. Caroline moved to Nashville and began a career as a Director at a Country Club, and Jason joined the United States Navy and became an Aviator. A job that brought him back and forth between Texas and Florida. They hadn't spoken since Jason graduated in 2018 and were content living separate lives.

One day near the end of 2020, Jason sent a Snapchat of a mustache he was growing to a bunch of people who follow him on the App called Snapchat. Caroline was extremely confused why she was hearing from an old flame almost 3 years later, but obviously never forgotten about him. She responded and the two began messaging for a few weeks. Until Jason asked if he could visit. A few weeks later Caroline drove to pick him up from the airport. The second Jason got in the car Caroline grabbed his face and kissed him, and it was over forever.
