WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

The Desmond Hotel offers convenient on-site parking for all guests.

At St. Joseph’s Church, the annual parish festival will be taking place during our ceremony. However, there’s no need to worry—ample parking will be available directly across the street at Downingtown West High School, just a short walk from the church. Guests may also be dropped off at the back of the church using the rectory lot. Handicap-accessible parking will be available in the rear of the church as well.

WHAT IS THE WEDDING DAY DRESS CODE?

Formal/Black Tie Optional.

We want our day to be an occasion for everyone to have fun and dress up. While we are looking to have a formal event, we do not want to inconvenience anyone and do not want anyone to feel like they have to rent or buy something.

For Women, fancy cocktail dresses or gowns would be appropriate.

For Men, suit and tie would be appropriate, or if you own a tuxedo and have been waiting for an occasion to use it, now is the time.

AM I ALLOWED TO TAKE PHOTOS AT YOUR WEDDING?

The ceremony will be unplugged! We have hired an incredible photographer and videographer to capture this special moment for us. You can take pictures all you want once the ceremony has concluded!

AM I ALLOWED TO BRING A PLUS ONE?

If you are allowed to bring a guest, it will be addressed that way on your invitations.

AM I ALLOWED TO BRING MY CHILDREN?

We wish we could include all children, but given the size of our families, we are unable to accommodate our younger friends and relatives who are under the age of sixteen. If your children are invited, it will be addressed on your invitation that way. Instead of "Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith" it will say "The Smith Family" to include children.

WILL THERE BE MEAL OPTIONS FOR GUESTS WITH DIETARY RESTRICTIONS OR ALLERGIES?

There will be vegetarian options for guests!

POST WEDDING BREAKFAST

Please RSVP on your invitation and join us for a causal post wedding breakfast at The Desmond. Sunday, June 21st 9:00am-10:30am. Feel free to come and go as you please to continue the celebration.
