Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?
The ceremony and reception will both be taking place at Whitby Castle. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside (weather-permitting) so please plan accordingly!
Will there be transportation to/from the venue?
Please sign up to utilize the shuttle on your RSVP.
There will be a private shuttle from the Sonesta Hotel at 3:45pm the day of the wedding to the venue. The shuttle will be making two trips back to the hotel beginning at 9:00pm.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive by 4:00 pm at Whitby Castle the day of the ceremony, as the ceremony will be starting promptly at 4:30 pm.
Will parking be available at the venue?
Yes, there will be valet parking available at the venue.
What should I wear?
Our wedding will have a formal dress code, with black tie optional. For men, we recommend wearing a dark suit with a tie, though any formal suit is also suitable. For women, a long evening gown or an elegant cocktail dress would be perfect.
Please avoid wearing colors traditionally reserved for the bride, which includes white, cream, ivory, etc.
May I bring a date or plus one?
Unfortunately, only invited guests may attend which would be those listed on your invitation.
Are children invited?
While we love your children, the Bride and Groom kindly request an adults-only ceremony and reception, with the exception of our ring bearers. We appreciate your understanding and ask that you make alternate arrangements for your children so we can all celebrate together!
Can we take pictures or videos during the ceremony?
We will be having an unplugged ceremony. Therefore, we kindly ask that you do not use your devices during the ceremony, and to have them tucked away and placed on silent or do not disturb.
We have hired an amazing team of photographers to capture our special day!
How do I RSVP?
To RSVP, please click on the RSVP tab on our website and type in your name. All invited guests in your party will appear here to mark as “attending” or “declining”.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by August 15th, 2025. All RSVP's received after this date will be marked as declining; we will be sending final headcounts to our vendors following this deadline.
What happens if I have to change/cancel my RSVP?
If something comes up and you need to change or cancel your RSVP, please let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust our plans accordingly.
