May 26th, 2019 was a Sunday afternoon, and is when Caroline and I went on our first date. I was captivated by her blue eyes, silly laugh, and how beautiful she truly was. The conversation never skipped a beat, and I didnt want the date to end!

A few months later we went to a friends wedding and I was able to introduce her to my family and closest friends. From that point on we never looked back, and we began to build a life together.

During Covid we watched more Netflix shows and cooked more desserts than we'd like to admit. Covid also showed me how competitive she is. From pick up beach volleyball games to backyard Can-Jam matches, I learned that Caroline is almost as big of a sore loser as I am (even though we didnt lose much).

In 2021 we were able to travel together more and we hit the wedding circuit. A lot of my friends were getting married and it was so special to be able to have Caroline by my side. I learned the importance of having a new dress for each event and became a pro at applying fake tanner.

On September 9th, 2022 I asked Caroline to marry me. Although her initial response was Baby, I thought you were gonna do it in October, she followed that up with a teary yes and it made me the luckiest guy in the world.

This October I get to marry Caroline, and it's crazy to think back to our first date years ago. I would always say that Caroline is my little ray of sunshine, but in reality she is much more than that. She's more like my Sun, she is the center of everything that is important, and she makes my life so much brighter. I cannot wait for her to be my wife.
