For me, our story begins on one of the first days of Senior year at Texas A&amp;M… It was the day of the Sylly Week Splash Bash, a back-to-school pool party my roommates and I had planned for the neighborhood, to kick off senior year! I was manning the grill when this girl walked through the gate. My first thought was how cute she was - then I remembered her name, and I said hi, for the first time, to the girl that would be my future wife: Caroline Spears. I can still remember what she was wearing, a tan romper, pink top, and her pink Hokas to match. After talking to her that night, all I could think about was how beautiful she was and how fun she seemed.&nbsp; After that, I ran into Caroline at the farmers market that weekend. I will always remember our first real conversation that made me want to take her on a date. From there I couldn’t stop thinking about her, and I prayed on Sunday that the Lord would provide a way for me to ask her out if that’s what He wanted me to do. Running into her again felt so random, and I never dreamed I would want to date my senior year, so I expected to never see her again. The very next morning I was pulling tickets for the first A&amp;M game of the season, and, to my shock, Caroline walked up right next to me and pulled tickets with our group. We got tickets for the game, and it took everything in me to not chase her down and ask her out as she was walking away. At this point I had ran into her 3 times over the past 3 days, having never hung out with her up until this point. It seemed obvious to me that the Lord had, amusingly, answered my prayer. I was able to devise a way to pick Caroline and her friend up from class that Thursday, so that I could get Caroline 1-on-1 in my truck to ask her on a date.&nbsp; After that, the rest feels like history - I found out what it feels like to fall madly in love with someone and my whole life changed. Senior year was full of fun and redemption, in large part due to getting to date Caroline, and we realized we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. I constantly praise and thank the Lord God that He would allow me to pursue Caroline - someone who is far and above any dream I ever had of a woman I would want to marry. I can’t wait to fall more in love every day with Caroline Kolden Spears, live out our dreams, and grow old together!&nbsp;

My first memory of Colson is when he came over to my house in the fall of junior year (2022) to help my roommates and I hang up our ring doorbell. I had never met Colson, but I vaguely knew who he was. I don’t think I even said hi to him that night.&nbsp; When he left, I immediately texted Landry Hays, “I think I’m in love with Colson Youngblood.” She replied with “he’s SO AWESOME, but I think he’s off the market” to which I replied “a girl can dream.”&nbsp; I didn’t think anything else of it until I was sitting in Colson’s truck exactly a year later, saying yes to a date.&nbsp; I remember being super excited, but also a little nervous, for our first date. My roommates and I had committed ourselves to “single senior year” and I really wasn’t looking to date someone. But I also just had a really good feeling about Colson. Our first date was nothing short of perfect - we talked for 4 hours straight, and I think we could have talked for 4 more. Colson was kind, fun, compassionate, and confident. I knew something was different about him and it left me wanting more.&nbsp; Fast forward as we dated through the fall, we both just loved spending time with one another. I really don’t understand how we didn’t get tired of one another, but we didn’t! When I think of the fall and our first few months of dating, I’ll always think of how much FUN we had - all together with our friends, roommates, and each other! We stayed up WAY too late (sorry roommates), went to football games, date parties, walks around Historic District, weekly date nights, game nights with friends, two-stepping, motorcycle rides (sorry mom), and cooked dinner together.&nbsp; In the spring, life started to more “real” with graduation and all that entails approaching. Something I’ll always appreciate about Colson is how he is able to balance enjoying the moment with thinking about the future. We started to dream about what life could look like together, while also soaking in the last months of college. I also would like to note that Colson dropped me off AND picked me up from class every single day spring semester (I feel like this gives an accurate picture of Colson’s consistency &amp; how he serves me) &nbsp; Fast forward to the summer, Colson pulled off the BEST engagement surprise and we started the craziness of living in post-grad life, both with full-time jobs and planning a wedding.&nbsp; Looking back, I see the Lord’s faithfulness in every detail of our story. His timing is perfect and His ways are better than our own. Through Colson, God has redeemed broken parts of my story and answered so many of my prayers. I am confident that I know Jesus more because of Colson.&nbsp; I still cannot believe that I have the privilege to marry Colson Youngblood. Like I said 2 years ago, “a girl can dream.” Colson is my dream, and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with him.

Parking is located behind Beasley Hall off of Princeton Street, and also at a larger lot behind the TCU Music Center at the corner of Parmer Ave. and W. Lowden St.

City Club of Fort Worth Parking

Please park in Garage II on Calhiun Street. Take the Garage Elevator to Level 3 and cross the skybridge into the Bank of America Tower. Use the elevators marked 3-12 to City Club’s Level 3. Appetizers and the Reception will both be on the 3rd floor, and there will be directional signs for you.
