I met Hudson at Line Camp (June 14, 2021 coincidentally). I thought he was cute but we did not speak much. When we got to Baylor in the fall, my friends invited me to hangout with a group of guys they had become friends with. Of course, Hudson was a part of this group. We hung out in groups freshman year, and I even ended up taking him to my sorority formal in the spring. He took me to two of his fraternity events that spring so I should have known something was up! Sophomore year I had heard from my friends that Hudson had been asking them advice on how to get to know me/take me on a date. I was so excited to hear that. Very randomly, Hudson and I ended up racing (because I was confident I was faster than him) and we decided the loser owed the other Andy's. I, of course, lost the race and we ended up at Andy's later that week (where Hudson paid despite his victory). That night he asked me on a date, and our first date was September 17, 2022. We started dating about a month later. I love Hudson so much and I am so grateful for the way he pursued me and has continued to pursue me.
When I met my Line Camp group the summer before freshman year, my eyes instantly fixated on Caroline. Later that day I told my friend JD, "I'm going to date that girl one day." Over the next few months, our friend groups got closer and began hanging out regularly. It was platonic up until the second semester of that year. I took her to a few events and decided I wanted to date her but wasn't ready to date yet, so I took the summer to pray about it. I wanted to lead her well, so I prayed about our future every day that summer. While working at Pine Cove, I received a very unintentionally flirtatious letter from Caroline, and that was my sign. Shortly after the summer ended and school started, I asked her on a date, and we started dating shortly after that. I was her first boyfriend, which was exciting, but it quickly turned to fear after I figured out that pretty much every female in her family has married their first boyfriend. This was a blessing in disguise, and little did I know that the family trend would continue and I was going to be blessed with the most joyful, kind, beautiful woman God could have given me. She is easily the most impressive woman I have ever met, and I can't believe I get to share the rest of my life with her.
