We spent many days during Caroline's first year in Los Angeles wandering the beautiful Huntington Gardens.
America’s Arts and Crafts masterpiece, the quintessential California craftsman home, and, of course, Doc Brown's house in “Back to the Future.” For architecture enthusiasts, the nearby Bungalow Heaven neighborhood features more than 600 small craftsman homes, built from 1900 to 1930.
California's oldest independent bookstore, located directly on Route 66! Open since 1894. 18 minute walk from Castle Green.

Excellent, Michelin-recommended strip mall taco stand. Worth the line.
As California lore goes, 16-year-old Lionel Sternberger accidentally invented the cheeseburger right down the street in 1924. This is a classic old-school burger joint.
Get a Hamm’s and a Hot Dog.
Where Caroline wishes she was every time Sean drags her to Walt’s for Hamm’s and a Hot Dog.
