Nate told me a few months into our relationship that he prayed for his purpose in life and wished for a change. As I imagine it in my head that prayer being answered mirrored the scene in Lilo and Stitch where she prayed for a friend, 'the nicest angel god had' and stitch came crashing into the earth. I came crashing into Nates life and changed the whole direction of it and we now know it was our purpose in life. Nate and I had to overcome huge growing pains early on in our relationship as we prepared to live together and raise our son in a matter of a few months. We may have done life 'backwards' as some would say, but we wouldn't have it any other way. So welcome to our middle, because marriage will not be the beginning of our wonderful life together.

Well I don't remember praying for a purpose, but it certainly sounds possible. I do remember swiping right on a picture of the girl next to Skyline balloon decor. Priorities, I guess.
Meeting Caroline was one of the most exciting times of my life. And scary. Nobody really expects to say,

Hi, good to meet you. Let's start a family and then get married in a few years. But that's more or less what happened.
But my prayer for a purpose must have been answered quickly because in the span of just a year or so, l had a brand new son with my now soon-to-be wife. And then we actually decided to have another baby because the first one turned out so well!

There's really nothing more I could ask for.
This June we're set to get married with both of our children being able to attend. It's a pretty incredible thing to have made it this far, and I'm so excited that we have this new, little family to raise together.
