Our Wedding

The year is 2016. Caroline and Tommy first meet in their high school English class at Benet Academy in Lisle, IL. They attended various high school dances together and enjoyed movie nights at AMC Theaters. In 2019, the pair began their freshman year of college with Caroline at Santa Clara University and Tommy at University of Notre Dame. The COVID-19 pandemic sent them home in March of 2020 and they went on many walks outside with Tommy's family dog, Greta. The following academic year, Tommy transferred to Georgetown University which was fully remote for 2020-21. Caroline took a gap year so the couple got to spend a lot of quality time together at home in the Chicago suburbs. Although they went to schools on opposite sides of the U.S., they grew as individuals with the other's love and support through it all. Plus, who can complain when you get to visit San Francisco and Washington D.C. every 6-8 weeks!

The Beginning

Their love for exploring new places has taken them on numerous adventures, from the cobblestone streets of Florence, Italy to visiting Tommy's brother (and Best Man), Carson, abroad in Barcelona to the sun-kissed beaches of Puerto Vallarta. One of their favorite parts of traveling together is getting to see where the day takes them—often, with many stops at a local café or bakery (because no trip is complete without tasting the local sweets!).And let’s not forget about their most recent trip to Southeast Asia to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where Tommy got down at one knee at the Thean Hou Temple.For Caroline and Tommy, travel isn’t just about the destinations, but the memories they create together along the way. If you ask Tommy for an embarrassing picture of Caroline sleeping on ANY of these flights, he would be more than happy to show you.

Adventures

In August 2024, Caroline moved down to Miami with Tommy where they LOVE spotting manatees on their morning walks with their dog, Sage.Tommy is finishing up his M.D./M.P.H. program at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine while Caroline is enjoying working from home and reading lots of books. Together, they enjoy going on long walks with Sage, playing tennis, watching The Great British Baking Show, having a glass of wine on the balcony during sunset, and sharing a Whole Foods pizza.
