Our Story (Carolyn’s Version)
We met at a ramen place for our first date (which would have been our second date if I hadn’t bailed the first time because I was too nervous). Immediately I felt that something was special. That day, we spent hours together just talking about anything and everything.. and for the next few months we spent an average of 3-4 hours on the phone every single night. And for those that don’t know me, I hate talking on the phone. But he was worth every second of it. And that’s how I knew I wanted to marry him.
Our Story (Philip’s Version)
When I first saw her and some of her profile pictures (Thank you, Hinge), I knew I had come across someone special. I tried to be cool and start a conversation with a silly zinger about Disney, but I had no idea how much of a Disney fan she was. It didn't matter though, because that was the start of our journey. Texting wasn't enough, I felt that I needed to hear her voice throughout the day. The best parts of the day were when we'd be on the phone for hours and hours until the wee hours of the morning, to then turn around and talk to each other on our way to work. Going on our first date was magical too. Sure it may have been a simple dinner and walk around the area, but that was the best first date I've ever had. I'm so happy we've come this far in our relationship and I can't wait to continue after marriage.
