Our Wedding

Carolyn and Cameron met at the University of Florida. They were both members of the Pride of the Sunshine marching band. Through the many social gatherings put on by the band members, eventually they met. Their friendship grew until Carolyn graduated and moved away.Fortunately, she did not stay away for long. While Cameron was still studying at Florida, Carolyn would return for social visits and football games. They grew close over the summer and fall and soon her reasons changed for visiting....After Cameron graduated school, things really took off. It only took a few months of dating, before they became a couple. The rest, as they say, is history.

"How We Met"

Shortly after Cameron moved to Orlando to be with Carolyn, he started thinking about proposing. He spent a few months shopping for the perfect ring. When the ring arrived it was December and the holidays were upon them. Cameron chose Christmas Eve as his backdrop for proposal. Wanting to open one present at midnight on Christmas eve, the present Carolyn opened was the ring. She said yes.

Joe Scannella is a sales representative in the educational technology industry, currently residing in Gainesville, FL with his beautiful wife of two years, Ashley, and their dog Liberty.Joe has pleasure of knowing both Cameron and Carolyn, first meeting them in 2005 in the Pride of the Sunshine Fightin' Gator Band at the University of Florida. He has enjoyed getting to know both of them over the past 12 years, is so excited to see these two friends tie the knot next May.Cam and Joe's story beings when they bonded over being unprepared for the first day of band (they were the only two people who didn't bring their instruments.) They were always in the same friend circle their freshman year, but solidified a lifelong bromance through microeconomics, racquetball, and Mr. Roboto during their sophomore year living in the same apartment complex.Over the college years Cam taught Joe about many mysteries of the Universe, and exposed him to new experiences, such as Foreigner, new ways to play N64 games, and amateur Honda Civic repair.Fast forward to 2017, Cam and Joe are now both working professionals pursuing their dreams, while still finding time to visit a brewery or two along the way. Although they currently live 139 miles apart, they still are able to keep in touch via text messages and video games, and get to make regular visits to see each other to hangout.Cam stepped up to the task of being Joe's Best Man on his wedding day two years ago, and now Joe can't think of a better way than this to thank him and return the favor.

Lisa Wright grew up in Alexandria Virginia, where she met Carolyn, but  now resides just outside of Tuscaloosa, Alabama (Roll Tide Roll!).She has been married to her husband John for the last 5 years and has have two beautiful children, Ava who is almost 6, and Easton who is almost 4. She loves to watch Alabama Football and Softball (Sorry Carolyn haha), go shopping, watch movies, read, and just enjoy life with her family.Carolyn and Lisa have been friends for what seems like forever . They have what they would like to call  a "real" friendship. Lisa can always count on Carolyn to tell her the truth even when its not necessarily what she might want to hear. They saw each other through all the awkward teenage years, the excitement of getting our license and first cars (Carolyn's was cooler!), high school crushes, and of course, graduation. When they went off to separate colleges, they were fortunate their friendship never fell apart. They always met up in Virginia on breaks (until Carolyn abandoned Lisa for Florida permanently) to share drinks, go dancing, and catch up on life. They have been a part of so many important moments in each other's lives, some truly unforgettable nights, and a few they'd probably rather forget, but were always glad they got to share them with each other. Its rare that you get a friend for life, but they've been blessed to have that be the case. They may not get to see to each other that often anymore, but when they do, they always pick up right where they left off. Lisa was blessed to have Carolyn by her side on her wedding day as her maid of honor, and Lisa is so honored to be the matron of honor on Carolyn's big day.

Rachel Sauve is a speech therapist residing in Clearwater, Florida. She has been married to her husband Patrick for five years, and has a beautiful baby girl Ruth Charlotte, born in January. Carolyn and Rachel met in college at the University of Florida. Both girls were members of Sigma Alpha Iota, a music fraternity for women. After repeatedly being told by mutual friends that they would really like each other, they finally hung out. An awesome friendship developed based on their common love of cheese puffs, naps, bar, movies, and chill dispositions. The rest is history.

Rachel Sauve

Cameron and I lived a few blocks away growing up. Starting in High School, we became those two friends that people saw as a singular entity. Cam and Jon. No music on the bus? Don't worry, Cam and Jon will rap Ludacris to keep you all entertained. Want to go to the beach, well Cam and Jon are there, so lets meet them up there.The beach, where we spent countless hours. And when I use the would countless, I seriously can't even begin to explain how much time we spent there. We once turned a 3 hour drive home from Gainesville to a 10 hour drive down the east coast, stopping at every beach we could. I could spend hours recounting stories from growing up. Sitting here now, they are rolling back into my memory non stop. But it can be summed up with a simple truth. In your life there are a handful of people that are so a part of who you are, the foundation that you use to build the rest of you life on, that you know without them you wouldn't be even close to the person you are today. For me, Cameron Crandell is one of the cornerstones of that foundation. Throughout the years, through the thousand of miles apart we are, there is no one I know I can count on as much as Cam.

Jon Hankins

Cameron first met Karl "Kasey" Snyder at the University of Florida 2006. Both trumpet players and engineering majors, over the course of four years Cameron and Kasey attended band/trumpet functions and shared a handful of engineering courses together. During that time they had a casual friendship, but it didn't reach peak groomsman status until a year or two after graduation.In 2012 Kasey was an employee with a Tampa engineering firm. One fine day his boss asked him if he knew any other engineers who went to that prestigious school, obviously the best college in the state, UF. Kasey immediately recommended this guy he knew from school (where they always hung out respectable functions that ended at reasonable hours and rarely involved alcohol because they were just too dedicated to their studies for debauchery of that nature). A few weeks later the Cam and Kasey were coworkers.For four years in Tampa Cam and Kasey grew to be good friends working together, playing on the same intramural kickball teams, watching and discussing Game of Thrones, playing throwback  video games, celebrating birthdays at the Hard Rock or Epcot, and of course always getting back to Gainesville during the fall for Gator Football with the gang.

Kasey Snyder

Sarah is a music teacher, and resides in Clearwater with her husband, Matt. Sarah and Carolyn met at the University of Florida in 2006, where they were both members of the Music sorority Sigma Alpha Iota. Over the next few years, their friendship blossomed from acquaintances into besties. During this time, they shared many incredible memories, including: watching gator football, tailgating, spring breaking in Key West, binge watching Sex and the City, sharing our love for tater tots, and even as roommates. Now they remain very close friends even though they live in different cities. Sarah is thrilled for Carolyn and Cam, and  looks forward to celebrating this momentous occasion with them...wallaby.

Name: Zac Wernlund   Age: 30   Hometown: Indialantic by the Sea   Favorite Memory: Abbot and Costello PerformanceIt is hard to put all the memories I have had with Cameron into a biography of our friendship. Cameron has been such a true and genuine friend of mine since the 9th grade in high school.  We started off just goofing around in band class and ended up being such great friends. Just to list of the few memories I have with Cameron in no particular order...- Weight lifting till 4 AM on my back porch then walking to 7-11, like all studs do in 9th grade (I think I was only able to lift the bar up)  - The "Wake Up Cameron It's Christmas" gag during the annual Christmas concert and Cameron's first solo - Re-making of old movies from Mrs. Nails 9th Grade English using the worst smelling box..... and the purple piece of paper as a ghost - Obviously... the Abbott and Costello performance we put on at the Prism concert - Playing dodgeball in my backyard instead of practicing our trumpet trio... with Jeff Ostrow - Getting offered to take comments only on our trumpet trio instead of a POOR performance rating... with Jeff Ostrow - Finally getting a SUPERIOR performance rating on our trumpet trio after 3 years... with Jeff Ostrow - Playing DDR in THE CAGE for hours on end - All of MHTP band together (from concert to jazz) - The classic White Glove tradition which we passed on to worthy dancers - GTech Hawaiian Party....where we never got in but were decked out in gear - Stopping at the haunted children gas stop on the way home from GTech - Re-uniting through weights again at UF (this time we were a bit stronger) - The entire time we lived together in THE DREAMMM HOUSEEE (well maybe not every time....) - The office binge marathons - Dream Ball - The best intramural flag football team to date (Almost got a win!) - Selling parking so that we could buy the most ridiculous TV in the world (What was the name of that TV brand?) - MHTP pong team and league nights - Michelangelo (aka Mikey) - The Decathalon - TRIOOOOOOO!!!!!I have lived in Melbourne (Indialantic),FL - Atlanta, GA - Gainesville, FL - Raleigh, NC - Peoria, IL and most recently Chicago, IL. Cam and I have always maintained a strong relationship despite not really being around each other that often, but when we do it is always like nothing has changed. I've know Carolyn for almost the entire time I was with Cam at UF. She is the perfect fit for Cam and cares about him so much. I think that you two are perfect for each other and I am excited to spend the rest of our lives celebrating together.All I got to say is...."You win man...you win"

Zac Wernlund

Breanna Muller was born and raised in Florida, and currently is living in the UK with her husband, Dennis, and two kids, Heidi and Luke. She attended the University of Florida and first met Carolyn through mutual friends. Carolyn ended up joining the Music Sorority (SAI) Breanna was in and was assigned as her little. They  became even closer when we studied abroad in Salzburg, Austria in the summer of 2006. Some special memories of their friendship include:girls football weekends, Bahamas cruising, playing blackjack, and long chats over a bottle (or two) of white zin.  Breanna has been blessed to call Carolyn my dear friend ever since.

Breanna Muller

Jenny Sumner Carswell is an ordained Presbyterian minister who works as a Clinical Pastoral Education Supervisor and Coordinator at Tampa General Hospital. She resides in Apollo Beach, Florida with her husband, Brian, their son, Marshall, and golden retriever, Hemi. She met Carolyn in undergrad at UF 14 years ago when they were in the Pride of the Sunshine marching band (piccolos, holler!) and Sigma Alpha Iota. Each time they hang out, they believe their friendship is much longer than it actually is - I believe they are now up to 48 years. They love sharing stories about their loud, obnoxious dogs and seeing what type of shenanigans they can get into. They quickly learned that 80s music and Marco's Pizza is a recipe for disaster. But nevertheless, they keep on dancing.

Jenny Sumner Carswell

Jeff met Cam through a random roommate by the name of John Samonas. As roommates many disagreements occurred on how to wash dishes or how not to eat each other's Ben and Jerry's. Though they persevered, not much personal bonding occurred. Although they did not initially hit it off, in their 4th year of college they began hanging out every weekend. Both parties moved into townhouses within a 2 minute walk and began a new tradition of Bon Jovi Fridays; a Thursday night in which nothing was happening on Friday so one was free to imbibe with impunity. Cam decided to change majors from Mechanical engineering to Astronomy. Knowing better, Jeff suggested Civil Engineering as the more useful and valiant path. "C! E's!" (Fast forwarding, Cam has a successful career as a Civil Engineer. You're welcome. ) The following year Cam moved in with Zac Wernlund. Jeff became the unofficial roommate and thus the Trio was born. A new level of tailgating was forged and the obsession of Gator Football grew deep. During the final years college, Cam and Jeff were able to become study buddies. Immediately grades jumped up as "math" and "science" became fun social activities. Since graduating, Jeff and Cam have stayed in touch by playing strategy games like Civilization Online, meeting at Gator Football games , weddings, going to Disney, or simply catching up. As a side note, Jeff loves Cam and is excited to see him marry the woman of his dreams. (Even though said woman has once left Jeff at a bar). Love you too Carolyn!

Jeff Fallin

Carolyn and Jennifer met white attending the University of Florida, where they were both members of The Pride of the Sunshine Marching Band. They met through a mutual friend, Cara Unger-Fink, but quickly became very close friends. Some of Jennifer's favorite memories include taking Carolyn to Jennifer's hometown of Niceville, FL in 2007 for the annual Mullet Festival, road-tripping to New Orleans for Mardi Gras with a bunch of friends in February 2008 and a girls' cruise in 2009 on Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas. Carolyn and Jennifer have one of those friendships where they can go months without talking and pick right back up where things left off, like it was yesterday. Jennifer is so grateful to have such an amazing woman in her life! She was honored when Carolyn stood by her side as a bridesmaid in her wedding in 2013, and was truly touched when Carolyn asked her to be a bridesmaid in Carolyn's upcoming wedding to Cam. Jennifer lives in Fort Lauderdale, FL and is the Director of Marketing for Advanced Therapy Concepts. 

Jennifer Chandler

Jonathan met Cameron through the luckiest drawings in America: the University of Florida dorm room assignments. It was freshman year of 2005 and Jon and Cameron became friends through a forced beginning. They made friends with dormmates, played racquetball together, and even started a short (and short-lived) running club. Jon's family moved to California as soon as they shipped him off to college and Cam and his family didn't hesitate to host Jon at the family's Thanksgiving dinner.While Jon wasn't a band member, Cam still invited Jon to hang out with his friends and expand his social circle to a group that still hangs out today. Although their dreams of starting a brewery together never flourished, they enjoy a few beers together as often as they're able to meet -- sadly, not frequently enough. SIMP-SON!

Jon Samonas

"He's capable of simple things, some of the time, with extraordinary supervision." While these words may have found themselves used to the point of cliché over the past decades, never have they found a more appropriate subject than Ben Wasmuth.  Through force of undeserved fate, Ben has found himself occupying the role of Manager with the accounting firm of RSM. Surprised by this placement, and generally confused about how it happened, Ben is just pleased to have found his way out from his previous employer (that illustrious enemy of Wesley Snipes, the Internal Revenue Service).  The exact details of how Ben and Cam met is hazy at best, but reliable sources assert that it has something to do with their mutual service to the University of Florida Fightin' Gator Marching Band in 2006. However it happened, they lived together a few years later, a decision Cam has regretted ever since.

Ben Wasmuth

Amber lives in Orlando and is blessed to be the momma of the cutest 6 year old around, Henry. She has known Carolyn for 5 years now. They have worked together at our elementary school as teammates, and wouldn't have survived this long without each other! They began as work bff's and now share such an awesome friendship both in and out of the professional setting. They share a love of SEC football, craft breweries, German food, concert going, and rushing the stage on karaoke nights. Carolyn and Cam make every night out a party...even school nights.

Amber Morton

Katie is a fun-loving six year-old who is going into first grade at Assawopset Elementary School in Lakeville, Massachusets.  Katie loves to swim, play soccer, do gymnastics, and dance.  She has lots of friends and loves to take her dog, Abby, for walks.  Katie can't wait to be a flower girl for her cousin Carolyn.

Ayrton is Cameron's nephew.  Ayrton is an active five year-old with a vivid imagination.  When he grows up he would like to be a Stormtropper or a fireman.  Ayrton loves playing with his uncle's Legos.  He lives in Satellite Beach, Florida with his dog, Bark Vader.  He is active in his local Catholic Church.
