There are two sides to every story - the Nicholas Sparks one and the Heavenly Fathers plan.

Caleb and I met at a going away party for a mutual friend of ours where she had invited her coworkers as well as some friends from college. I was in the work group while Caleb was in the other. Now, leading up to this night, I had completely given up hopes of finding the one and had a stern prayer that consisted of, I give up! If your (God) plan for me is what I have felt in my heart for a very long time, its all on you. Ironically Caleb had had a similar prayer a few months prior, stating, When you (God) feel that Im ready, send me the one and make it plain.
Fast forward to an evening in June.
I wasnt feeling very well but after talking with a friend, we decided wed go. She and I sat with the other teachers alongside a second table of college friends. The party had been set in a private room with beautiful windows lining the back wall.
With the sun streaming in through said windows, I saw a large shadow cast behind me. I look up toward the doorway and the sun is shining in Calebs sparkly blue eyes. The friend sitting next to me said, Thats your guy!


By the end of the night, we exchanged numbers and made plans to go jitterbugging the following weekend at the Levitt for a live concert. As the first song began playing, the foreshadowing of him reaching out his hand and asking, Are you ready? has led us to our upcoming marriage!
