What time zone is Notre Dame in?
Notre Dame is in the Eastern time zone. Please note that if you are traveling from Chicago to South Bend that time change from Central Time can impact your ETA. For example, while the length of the drive is two hours, if you left Chicago at 9am local time, you would arrive in South Bend at 12pm local time. Be aware of this time change if you are flying out of Chicago the next day as well.
Will there be transportation provided?
Yes. We will have shuttle buses departing from the Embassy Suites/Fairfield Inn circle to drop guests off at the Basilica. We will also have shuttle buses which can take guests back to the Embassy Suites/Fairfield Inn after the reception.
Will there be parking for the ceremony?
Guests driving themselves will be allowed to park in the Grotto, St. Liam’s, or Lyons lots as long as space is available. Alternative parking is located along St. Mary’s Road. To get to all of these parking locations, drive to the main entrance of campus and enter the main security gate located near the bookstore. A campus map is available at map.nd.edu or on the ND Mobile app.
Will there be parking for the reception?
The reception will be held in the Duncan Student Center on the West side of Notre Dame Stadium. Guests are welcome to park in the Stadium Lot.
How can I take a tour of campus?
If you would like to sight-see around campus, we recommend that you download the "ND Mobile" app. Once you download the app, select your "persona" as "Guest". Then click on the "Tours" icon and select "Mobile Tour". This will allow you to do a virtually-guided 1.5 hour walking tour of campus. If you do not want a guided tour, we recommend using the Map option on the ND Mobile app to explore.
