Our Story

OUR STORY

Picture of OUR STORY

Yes! It has been almost 10 years ago!! We met February 1, 2015 at a Super Bowl party with mutual friends. That night it was all about the game, game board and who was going to win the jackpot! Kevin was very shy (imagine that!) as he had his kids with him, but he called me the next morning and asked me out on a date. Our first date was on Friday the 13th, we went to dinner, had great conversation followed by a friend’s birthday party. We continued to date, go to wineries, breweries and get to know each other. We also did many things with the kids like going to the zoo, car shows and movies. We all loved it when Willow joined our newly found family in January of 2016. After a year of traveling endlessly back and forth from Inver Grove Heights to Hastings to spend time with each other; we decided we wanted to combine houses.

In 2017, we spent many nights preparing for Ashley and Brian’s wedding, looking for houses and packing to combine our two households into one. Their wedding was June 10th, and we purchased our house on June 26, 2017. One of our favorite moments was seeing the kid’s faces when we brought them to look at it and they got to pick out their own rooms! We were all so excited to be able to be together under one roof!

We have several things in common as we both enjoy being outside, Kevin working on the lawn and me in my flowerbeds. We love projects! LOL As our house has been our project for many years and will be for many more to come. We love what we have been able to achieve together and look forward to more accomplishments!

Over the years we have had the pleasure of becoming grandparents to three beautiful grandchildren. They are the apple of Grandma’s eye and the greatest gift you can receive. We treasure our time with them!

OUR ENGAGEMENT

December 24, 2021, after the kids opened their gifts and went upstairs to put them away Kevin handed me a box. I was very surprised and said, “What’s this?” and he responded, “Just open it!” I did and I was like what is this for (smiling of course!)? And he then popped the question. We were headed to family Christmas to celebrate not only Jesus birth, but our love for each other too! What a Christmas it was! So excited for our new life as a married couple! ❤️ Let the adventure begin!

It may have taken us ten years to get here, but we are so excited and blessed to be able to celebrate our wedding with the most important people in our lives! We hope you are able to join us and be a part of our day of celebrating our love.
