Hello Friends and Family - Our celebration is on for&nbsp;Friday July&nbsp;23, 2021!&nbsp; We hope you can join us!&nbsp;

Under the&nbsp;Guest Accommodations tab&nbsp;we have listed some hotels that are in the area and on the shuttle route. We encourage you to book soon, as it is a resort town and hotels are booking up fast.&nbsp;





Please feel free to reach out to us with questions you may have. We have worked closely with our vendors to ensure a seamless transition - including hotels, venues, bands, food, catering, etc. Maybe we'll get better weather...!

FYI: Vermont will be lifting many restrictions over the summer. However, click&nbsp;<a href="https://www.vermont.gov/vermont-forward#additional-guidance&amp;gsc.tab=0">Vermont COVID&nbsp;guidelines</a>&nbsp;&nbsp;if you are interested checking in on the&nbsp;latest guidelines. Hildene is proactively taking necessary precautions to ensure we have a safe event.&nbsp;

Carolyn was living in Hoboken. Nat was living in Manhattan. To any person familiar with the area, they were essentially living in two different countries. Thanks to advances in modern day technology they were connected. Nat was particularly enthused by Carolyn's personal anecdotes that included admitting she had "never having eaten Taco Bell" and had a renewed focus on "using her crock pot". Carolyn was intrigued by the seemingly ever travelling renaissance man. After a flurry of text messages (mostly from Nat) they finally went on a date. A modern day Romeo and Juliet story. 





Despite pure shock from friends and co-workers, Nat crossed the Hudson to meet Carolyn in Hoboken (he must have really liked her). Carolyn was late (shocker) to arrive at a local watering hole and while it was their first meeting - they were certainly not strangers. However, Carolyn marched through the door, approached Nat formally and put out her hand confidently seeking a handshake, "Hello, my name is Carolyn". Awkward? Perhaps. Hilarious? Certainly. Carolyn clearly had a plan. This moment also marks the one and only time Nat has ever seen Carolyn order a martini (with confidence). After what seemed like a wonderful date, both Carolyn and Nat wondered why they hadn’t heard from each other in the days that followed. Turns out they had different views of how post-date text messages were supposed to occur.&nbsp;Nat pursued Carolyn and their next meeting was scheduled.











Carolyn and Nat quickly became inseparable and found many things in common, a love for anything outdoors, family (specifically being proud Aunts and Uncles), friends and pizza. On a Friday in April 2019, after riding bikes along the Hudson River, Nat asked Carolyn to marry him! Carolyn and Nat are now living happily in Hoboken making homemade pizza,&nbsp;trying out new crockpot recipes and spending virtually every weekend away from home.

Our favorite day hikes will lead you to pristine ponds, pretty waterfalls, and jaw-dropping vistas. Perfect for the Spring! Not up to hiking? Driving access to the top on Skyline Drive that offers beautiful views!

<h2 class="text-left"></h2><h2 class="text-left"></h2>Just a 10- minute drive from Manchester is a charming, quaint town called Dorset. Aside from the playhouse, it is home to a massive 60-foot-deep swimming hole. A&nbsp;thrilling experience if you choose to take the plunge and jump from the cliffs! Little known fact: the sidewalks in Manchester (near the Equinox) are made from marble cut from this quarry.&nbsp;

Dutton Farm Stand offers fresh farmer-grown fruits and vegetables, cider, maple syrup, flowers and gifts!&nbsp;Next to the farm stand is a&nbsp;sugar shack&nbsp;&nbsp;that makes real maple syrup- be sure to stop in for a free tasting!
