Our Wedding

Our story

We first met in October 2016 on a club retreat with our respective schools. Carrie first noticed Noah as the guy singing "Uptown Funk" at karaoke wearing Yik Yak socks. The next day she needed help pulling a prank and turns out the karaoke guy was up for the job and he was pretty good at stealing a mattress. After that weekend Carrie devised a plan with her roommate to start a group chat to try and get Noah’s number. Turns out it worked because a few days later Noah texted her to ask her on a date. Despite Noah wearing sweatpants on the first date, which he will never live down, we have been inseparable ever since. Now, with eight years together, we enjoy our life together in the Twin Cities and are soaking up all Minnesota has to offer! You can find us checking out new restaurants, going to brewery trivia, walking around some of the 10,000 lakes, or traveling to as many national parks as our work and school schedules allow. We are so excited to get married and see where life takes us next!

The Engagement Story

On April 13th, 2024, Chelsea, Carrie's sister was in town and said they had a "garden party" to go to for a friend of theirs. As they were walking to dinner Carrie noticed they were walking in the opposite direction of where dinner was supposed to be. Instead, they were walking to one of Carrie and Noah's favorite spots in the city, Nicollet Island, where Noah was waiting. When they finally reached the spot, Carrie shouted "I knew it" before rushing over to Noah where he asked her to spend the rest of their lives together. Carrie obviously said "Yes!" They were so excited to celebrate in the park and FaceTime friends and family to share the exciting news.

We have a block of rooms available at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel &amp; Suites in Golden Valley. This is about 10 minutes away from the venue and near the St. Louis Park West End area. While we do have the room block we encourage our guests to find an option they are most comfortable with. We have provided a few additional hotel recommendations if you are looking to stay elsewhere. There are a lot of other options for hotels as well as Airbnbs and VRBOs available across the Twin Cities area. We hope you find somewhere that works best for you! Things to do & Places to see

Minnehaha Falls- A beautiful park to take a walk and see a waterfall. Stop at Sea Salt Eatery for a quick bite while you are there. Stone Arch Bridge and Mill Ruins Park- See the iconic Stone Arch Bridge and learn about some Minneapolis History at the Mill Ruins. (Watch out for construction!) St. Anthony Main- Another great area to walk around filled with great restaurants and views of the river. Pop over to Nicollet Island to see where Noah proposed! Lynx/Timberwolves/Twins/Minnesota United FC games- Tbd on schedules but if they are in town we highly recommend checking out some of the teams Noah has worked for over the years. Chain of Lakes- You have plenty options with Cedar Lake, Lake of the Isles, Bde Maka Ska, and Lake Harriet. We love to take coffee walks around all of these. If you go to Lake of the Isles check out Isle Buns and Coffee for some puppy dog tails! Minneapolis Sculpture Garden at the Walker Art Center- Make a stop to see the well known cherry spoon sculpture! Minneapolis or St. Paul Farmers Markets- Grab some yummy eats from local vendors. Open on both Saturdays and Sundays! Kid and Family Friendly Como Park and Zoo- A beautiful park, conservatory, and free zoo! Minnesota Children's Museum- Located in Downtown St. Paul. A great place to spend a little or a lot of time with your kiddos. Carrie's nephew, Rowan, would highly recommend! Minnesota Science Museum- Located in Downtown St. Paul and has a wide range of exhibits for families to explore.

Glass House has plenty of parking available in the attached lot and at the Minneapolis Farmers Market pavilion. Please use the attached picture to help guide you! Unfortunately, construction has recently started in this area. We recommend giving yourself a few extra minutes to get to the venue to accommodate the construction.
