Carrie and Nick met in the most usual of places: the jungles of Papua New Guinea. On this two-month long mission trip, Carrie and Nick became friends while enjoying a front row seat to what the Lord was accomplishing across the world. After the two months ended, Carrie and Nick said a sad goodbye, never expecting to see each other again, since Nick lived in Virginia, and Carrie in Missouri. However, six months (and a few texts) later, a friend of the two who was also on the trip inquired of Nick's interest in Carrie. He eloquently asked, "So, uhhh, Nick...when are you gonna date Carrie?" Within the week, Nick had called Carrie and asked her out. Within three weeks, the two were officially dating. Within six months, Nick had picked up his life and moved to Springfield, Missouri. Four months later, on December 7, Nick dropped on one knee and excitedly asked Carrie to marry him.

Carrie and Nick are excited to continue this story for the rest of their lives, beginning on June 15.
