Our wedding (ceremony and reception) will be at the gorgeous Rist Canyon Inn in Laporte, CO. Laporte is just north of Fort Collins. https://www.ristcanyoninn.com/

Our ceremony will be in a pasture space with rows of benches. Cocktail hour will be just across a footbridge in an outdoor patio areas. And dinner/reception will be in a beautifully renovated barn also on the same property.

Our attire is semi-formal with a wide margin to either side. We would love for guests to look and feel festive and special for our event. But your comfort is a priority as well. Please consider the varied surfaces (gravel, grass, and indoor) when choosing footware. Our wedding party will be primarily in shades of blues.

For our out-of-town guests, we recommend flying in to Denver International Airport. Then either rent a car, or take a shuttle to Fort Collins. Hotel accommodations are suggested for the Fort Collins area.

There will be a shuttle from one or two central locations to the venue on the day of the wedding. These will be announced once hotel blocks are secured. Parking at the venue is also available and ample for those who prefer to drive themselves. Although not encouraged, vehicles can be left at the venue overnight provided they are picked up promptly the following day.

Although not yet finalized, we intend to have a variety of meat and vegetarian appetizers at cocktail hour and a family-style dinner meal with options to meet most tastes. Please use the space in the RSVP to let us know about any specific dietary restrictions or needs. Our caterers are wonderful and will work with us to ensure a meal is available to anyone needing special accommodations.

We will have an open bar with wine and beer as well as a few select cocktail options. Please remember that Colorado is high elevation which can strengthen the effect of alcohol for our sea-level living guests!

Weather in summertime Colorado is highly varied day to day and hour to hour. Expect warm sunny periods during mid-day with temperatures in the 80's. And be prepared for mid-afternoon thunderstorms rolling through with short but intense rain and chilly winds.

We would love for guests to take and share photos of our reception however they choose. We do request that our ceremony is phone-free and our photographers are the only ones capturing this part of the day. Please do ensure that while you snap a few pictures you are also enjoying our event as it happens.

Although details are still being worked out, we expect to asks Guests to arrive midafternoon our ceremony. Following the ceremony, guests will take a short walk back to the cocktail hour space for appetizers and light refreshments. Dinner will be served at around 5:30 pm with dancing to follow. More details will be available when invitations are sent out

Please refer to your invitation for plus 1's and children that we have invited to attend. Our venue is on the smaller side with strict capacity limits. Extra guests or guests who did not RSVP cannot be accomodated.
