Ben & Carrie met while both attending Masa Programs in Israel. Ben was interning at the Jerusalem Zoo while at the same time Carrie was studying and interning with a progressive synagogue in Tel Aviv. Both were selected to attend a Masa wide meet up weekend with 100 internationals and 50 Israelis. The picture is from that first weekend!

As their time in Israel went on they knew this was more than the average relationship. They were lucky enough to have time to get to know one another deeply, meet one another's families & friends, both in person and via a laptop and really see where this could go. Here they are with Ben's sister Keren, her boyfriend Yoni & the Shaw's extended Israeli family's kids & their significant others!

After a few months of separation Ben & Carrie decided it was time to try life in America. Ben came to visit in October & they even went up to meet all of her family in WI! Ben & Carrie got to try life with friends here in Orlando. It seemed like this life was working!

Before long they got engaged! When it is meant to be, it is meant to be!!!

International relationships can be tricky but they knew a life together was the only life for them! On December 22 they tied the knot surrounded by their family.
