The Silverleaf Club is a private club in a private community. You will enter through <a href="https://www.theknot.com/us/carrie-hey-and-chris-schwartzbauer-may-2023/E%20Horseshoe%20Canyon%20Dr,%20Scottsdale,%20AZ%2085255" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">&nbsp;Horseshoe Canyon Gate</a>&nbsp;for access on May 20th. Wedding guest names will be at with the gate. It may take a few minutes to get through the gate so please plan on arriving around 30 minutes prior to the wedding to allow time to get through security. After you enter the gate, take the first right turn and follow signs for the clubhouse. Please drive to the rotunda where a valet will take your car and assist you. (no tips please)

Travel and Accomodations

The closest major airport is <a href="https://www.skyharbor.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Phoenix Sky Harbor</a> (PHX). The airport is about 30 minutes by car to suggested hotels and the wedding venue. There is a smaller airport <a href="https://www.gatewayairport.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Phoenix Gateway Airport</a> in Mesa. Phoenix Gateway has less flights, but is served by some of the smaller airlines like Sun Country and Allegiant.All major rental car companies are located in Phoenix at the airport. It is very easy to get an Uber or Lyft ride in the area.

Uber is reasonable and easy transportation for all of the activities in the area. Vincent Menard who is a very dependable driver who has driven for us for years.. He has blocked his weekend to support us. His number is: (602) 702-6966.

Travel To the Wedding 

We will be hosting a reception for all guests from 7-9 pm in an outdoor designated space at the Plaza Bar in the Fairmont&nbsp;Princess for our guests. Hope to see you there! The Wedding

Q. What is the dress for the event?A. Carrie and Chris will be dressed in formal attire. 	-Come dressed for a party . Q. Is the wedding indoor our outdoor? A. The wedding ceremony will be outdoors on a lawn. We will move indoors to a temperature-controlled environment with a patio for dinner and the rest of the celebration. Q. How long will it take to get to the wedding from the suggested hotels? A. All of the suggested hotels are less than 5 miles from the venue. Silverleaf Club is in a gated community and please allow extra time (30 minutes) to get through the gate. Beverages will be provided prior to the ceremony. Q. What can we expect for weather? A. Typically it will be sunny and very warm and dry during the day. The wedding ceremony will begin early evening outside then move inside. Q. Should we tip the Silverleaf staff, valet, servers, bartenders, etc?A. The Silverleaf Club maintains a strict no tipping policy. The staff is duly compensated. Q. Who's coming to the event? A. We've invited friends and family from all over the country. This is an adult only event. Please no children. The RSVP list should be visible to attendees on this site.

We were brought together celebrating our respective birthdays more than a decade ago. We were engaged ten years later to the date. We are excited to have you share in the celebration of our journey together.

Hiking and Climbing

A number of hikes ranging in length from 1 mile to 8 miles and difficulty from easy to moderate.

McDowell Mountain Regional Park

Located in the center of Phoenix. This is a challenging hike / climb. Make sure you're up to it and bring plenty of water!

Friday: If notified, you should plan to be at the rehearsal Friday May 19 at 4PM at the Silverleaf Club. We will have a private dinner at <a href="https://www.scottsdaleprincess.com/scottsdale-restaurants/la-hacienda" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">La Hacienda Restaurant</a> at the Fairmont beginning at 6PM. We will host an informal reception at the Plaza Bar immediately after dinner. Saturday: The wedding ceremony begins at 6:00PM. Plan to be there one hour early.
