Back in 2020, the world was shut down, fires burned everywhere, and amidst the chaos, Carrie-Lynn and Nico met: Rarely have things been the same since.
Ok, all corny cliches aside, it’s been magical, fun, and so very filled with love. We live together in our home in Santa Rosa with our five kids, three dogs, three cats, two birds and seriously, so many legos.
Four years later, it’s time for the big party to bring us all together. The O’Donnells are here! We are delighted to invite you to celebrate with us.
To answer some burning questions:
1. Dress code: PLEASE wear whatever makes you comfortable. Love formal wear? Go for it. Love fashion? Go Gala Ball. Wear the feathers. Wear sequins. I suspect one of my brothers will be a dinosaur or wear a yellow tux. Hate anything with buttons? Sweatpants are dandy. Need all clothes to have ventilation from age and paint brush wipes? We love color. Go for it, Jackson Pollock! All this to say, be comfortable, or as comfortable as you can be at a social get together. We like you. Please be yourself. Our kids will be themselves. We will be ourselves. If it’s a melange, a smorgasbord, a chaotic, colorful, mess- then it will be perfect. And if everyone wears fancy clothes, that’s lovely too.
2. Vibes: There will be ear protectors, fidgets, bubbles, squishy things, light up things- we want the experience to be both kid friendly and ND inclusive. For grown ups who don’t like loud music or have sensitive ears, we will have ear plugs- the kind that allegedly let you hear what is happening but just make it a little more mellow.
3. Expectations: There are going to be quite a few kids present at the wedding. The wedding is for them as well. Don’t worry; there is also an open bar and a bottle of wine on every table, so it’s for you as well. And if you don’t drink, there will be plenty of non alcoholic options as well- plenty of lemonade! The point is that kids and grown ups can both be a bit feral at times: please give everyone some grace.
4. Ceremony is at the Sugarloaf site at Valley of the Moon at 4 pm on 10/5. Address: 557 Oak Vista Court, Santa Rosa, Ca 95409
Reception is right after the ceremony at 7035 Oakmont Dr, Santa Rosa, Ca 95409
It will be a gently Jewish wedding, officiated by a lovely Rabbi named Paige. If you are one of the Chosen People, please feel free to wear a kippah if you like for the ceremony. No pressure.
We have no idea what this wedding will be like, but our goal is for it to be full of love and fun. There will undoubtedly be bad puns and missteps and a fair amount of nonsense. Personally, I’m marrying the most amazing person ever, so I’ll be a cherry topped, high flying, mountain top hollering, free spirited love machine. I think CL is pretty stoked too 🙂 Come join us!
