Joe and Carrie met back in 1986 at Kids R Us In Carle Place, New York. They were 18 at the time and were both working at Kids R Us, a childrens clothing store, while going to college. Carrie also met Joe's best friend Vinny Giovinco, the best man, and his wife Liz at the same store where they also worked. Joe knew Vin and Liz from his hometown, Westbury, NY. Carrie and Joe dated for a little while back then but it didn't turn into anything serious. They lost touch for many years. They reconnected years later on Facebook. Joe and Vinny went to see Carrie sing. Then a few years later, Joe and Vinny needed a singer to fill in for an event with their band. Carrie filled in for a few gigs with their band Time Passages. Eventually Carrie ended up being a member of the band. And eventually, Joe and Carrie realized there was a spark there again, and the rest is history. After dating for a few years, they realized that they wanted to take the next step and get married. Joe proposed to Carrie at a band event with Time Passages on 8/21/24.
