Our Wedding

It all started with a swipe right in September of 2023. Who would’ve thought that a dating app would’ve brought them together? They both weren’t expecting it as Carrie had just moved there from Maine a few months prior.Conversation came easy and they were quick to exchange numbers. Within a couple days they had their first date planned out. Olive Garden, September 20th. Carrie was so nervous for the date that when she watched Joel walk by her car she almost panicked and left before the date started. Thank god she didn’t.Due to their work schedules, Carrie was the one doing the traveling to Syracuse during the winter and they barely saw each other for the first 6 months. Christmas was when Carrie met Joel’s family for the first time and despite how large the family was, she wasn’t deterred and was accepted right away. And if you ask Joel, they like her more than they like him. Lol.Alas, they survived their first winter together. Joel finally got to meet Carrie’s family in April 2024, who they’re pretty sure thought he was fictional up to this point.They’ve been inseparable ever since! At that point, they were practically living with each other - hopping between Carrie’s apartment and Joel’s house. September 2024 was when Joel asked Carrie to officially move in with him. So she started by finding a new job and they worked on buying a house. They got lucky and the first day looking, they found theirs! Two months later in January of 2025, they closed on it and moved in!But apparently moving in together wasn’t enough. They wanted another companion. That’s when they adopted their adorable puppy, Raven (who all of you most likely will meet).Sunday July 6th is when Joel popped the question at Delphi Falls, much to Carrie’s surprise, even though she was expecting it at some point in the future. If you want the full story, ask Joel about how Carrie joked he could hide her body out there just before he did it.They look forward to seeing you and celebrating their love together!
