Carrie and Jared first crossed paths in the summer of 2020 at their friends Katie and Joey’s housewarming party. Their friendship grew that summer as they spent Thursdays together at Jared’s softball games. Jared quickly realized he had feelings for Carrie, but it took Carrie a bit longer to catch on. During this time, they discovered they were paired to walk down the aisle at their mutual friends Abby and Quinton’s wedding—though, due to COVID, that moment never happened.

By New Year’s Eve 2021, Carrie’s feelings for Jared had shifted, and she confided in her friend Maddy that she would say yes if Jared asked her out. In February 2022, with a little nudge from his friend Brooke, Jared took the plunge and asked Carrie on a date. She said yes, and they began a wonderful relationship full of adventures, travel, and lots of laughs.

After two and a half years of dating, Jared proposed at Carrie’s cherished family vacation spot in Leland, Michigan, on a beautiful Fourth of July morning. Now, they’re thrilled to celebrate their love with their closest friends and family and are eagerly looking forward to finally walking down the aisle together.
