Our Story
From Beach Volleyball to Forever

It all started with a casual encounter on the beach, introduced by mutual friends, where we bonded over beach volleyball and sunshine. After a few years of friendship, little did we know, a competitive debate over a championship series would be the beginning to our lifelong partnership. Who knew we each had a competitive streak! 😉

Despite Kyle's savvy efforts at flirting, Carrie was completely clueless. It wasn't due to a lack of interest, but simply from an innocent lack of recognizing the signs. Thankfully, Kyle persisted, continuously asking Carrie to engage in activities (aka dates), and she always responded with an enthusiastic yes. Eventually, she got wise to Kyle's intentions, and their courtship began to take off!

With Kyle's career as a collegiate volleyball coach, we navigated a long-distance relationship for years. Even with the miles between us, we chose each other every day, connecting over countless phone calls, squeezing in visits whenever possible, and our love continued to grow.

Our journey led us to Ohio, where Kyle assumed a head coaching role, bringing us closer to Carrie's family. Finally, we were together with our dogs, Gizmo Sushi and Bane, in one place!! Embarking on new experiences, seeking adventures, cherishing family time, enjoying city life, attending numerous sporting events, and growing even closer than ever during the pandemic.

Eventually, life brought us back down south and we shed our winter coats for the Emerald Coast. While beach volleyball always holds a special place in our hearts, our shared interests extend to hiking with our dogs, engaging in various sports to fuel our competitive streaks, cranking up the volume on our favorite music, finding new places to explore, and one of us educating the other (aka Kyle!) on all things Star Wars.

After eight years of trials, blessings, and bliss, we got engaged! As we look forward to continuing to grow our love of God and each other, we can't wait to see what adventures the future holds for us as we continue our journey together, forever and always.
