Known as the "quickie wedding capital" of the world, Vegas makes weddings easy and fun. We knew we wanted a more intimate ceremony with the ability to party with close family/friends afterward. We've vacationed in Vegas a number of times and found it to be a good mix of debauchery (Scott likes to gamble) and serenity (Carrie likes to hike.) Check the 'THINGS TO DO' tab on this website for more recommendations.
What's this party house?
We booked a house specifically to party! It is not an Airbnb but a home just for this event, with plenty of space, two bars, and a pool in the backyard. We are not sleeping there. The house is booked until 11:00 p.m., with clean up starting at 10:30 p.m.
Where should I stay?
We recommend staying Downtown/Fremont Street since this is close to the wedding festivities, specifically: Golden Nugget (where we're staying); Circa (the newest/hippest hotel downtown); or the Grand (good value, away from the noise of Fremont St). Check the 'TRAVEL' tab on this website for more recommendations.
Is there a hotel room block?
No. Because of the size of the wedding, we decided not to hold a block of rooms. There are a ton of hotel options available depending on your budget and desired location.
What about the Vegas Strip?
You can totally stay on the Strip but beware of construction and road closures due to the Formula 1 race in later November, for which the city starts preparing early.
I have more questions about Vegas lodging and activities. What do I do?
Check out the documents Scott put together under the 'TRAVEL' and 'THINGS TO DO' tabs on this website. If you have more questions, feel free to reach out to Scott!
Is there a registry?
No, there is no registry. We're so grateful to each person for spending the time and money to make it to Vegas to celebrate with us. The gift of partying with you is all we want.
