Correct! Since Shaun and I are not exactly settled yet, there isn't anything we can really think to ask for when it comes to things for our home or life. We do have a honeymoon fund that you are more than welcome to donate to if you wish, or you can bring a gift if that's what you'd prefer! Please know that we don't need anything but your love and support!
Are kids allowed at the ceremony?
After some consideration, Shaun and I would prefer to not have children at the ceremony except for our flower girls and ring bearer. We have both had too many instances of children causing a disruption during the ceremony and would like to avoid that if possible. To clarify, children would be anyone under 13.
HOWEVER, children are more than welcome at the reception! We are working on seeing if we can find some childcare for the ceremony. If that is something we are able to do, we will have them stay at the house at the venue and be brought over when the reception begins!
If it’s a child free service, does that mean we should leave our kids at home?
That’s not necessary! We would love to have your children at the reception if they would like to be there, so they can stay with a sitter that we hire until it is time for the service! Our flower girls and ring bearer will be taken to the farmhouse on the property with a sitter after they are done their parts in the wedding, so your children would be able to stay with that sitter as well until it is time for the service!
When should we book our hotel/Airbnb?
So, Shaun and I decided our wedding date should be on the anniversary when we started dating. Well, it's also prime football season... next to State College, PA... Great timing on our part, right? So, my personal advice, please book as soon as you know you are coming! I will have some Airbnb and Hotels listed below, but you are more than welcome to pick whatever hotel you'd like! I'd also recommend just doing Sept. 4-6, unless you want to extend your stay a bit.
Will there be alcohol at the wedding?
Yes, we will be having an open bar with a limit if we feel necessary. We are still deciding on what kind of alcohol we will have.
